Apple confirms the October 28 event, MacBook Pro OLED may be released

(Dan Tri) - Apple will hold the "Pro and tell" event on October 28 in Los Angeles (USA). Sources predict the company may launch a touch-sensitive OLED MacBook Pro, OLED iPad mini and Macs using the M6 chip.
Apple will organize a product experience activity called "Pro and tell" at 10:00 a.m. on October 28, Pacific time in Los Angeles (USA), equivalent to 0:00 a.m. on October 29, Vietnam time.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, shared an image introducing the event on social networks with the message: "Can't wait to pro and tell next week" (roughly translated: Can't wait until next week to "Pro and tell").

This is Apple's next product introduction activity in October. Previously, on October 13 in New York (USA), the company held the "Welcome home" event, focusing on the smart home field with the new generation HomeView, HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K products.
The name "Pro and tell" this time focuses attention on Apple's professional product lines. However, the company has not announced a specific list of devices. The products below are largely based on information provided by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and sources that follow Apple.
The most awaited MacBook Pro OLED touch
The focus of the launch may be the completely new generation of 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is preparing the first MacBooks with touch screens, marking a notable change in the hardware strategy of the Mac computer line. High-end models are expected to switch from Mini-LED to OLED screens, while also supporting direct manual operation.
This will be a notable change because for many years, Apple has maintained the difference between the touch experience on the iPad and the keyboard and trackpad control method on the Mac.

According to information mentioned by Bloomberg, the new MacBook Pro OLED can eliminate the current screen notch (rabbit ears) to switch to a Dynamic Island design similar to the iPhone. The device is also said to be significantly lighter than the generation currently sold on the market.
A notable detail is that these high-end models are expected to still use the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, instead of the M6. According to recent reports, Apple may keep the same processor generation but strongly upgrade the screen, design and touch capabilities.
If the above information is correct, the MacBook Pro OLED could be introduced in parallel with Mac models using the M6 chip, instead of all Apple computers switching to the new chip generation.
Apple has not yet confirmed the trade names, prices or configurations of these products.
iPad mini could switch to OLED screen
Besides the MacBook Pro, the new generation iPad mini is also expected to appear at the end of October.
According to Bloomberg, the most important change may be the switch from LCD to OLED screens. This technology allows for deeper blacks and higher contrast than the LCD screen on the current iPad mini.

The device is also said to have a redesigned speaker system, while the front FaceTime camera could be moved to the side to better suit when using the device horizontally.
Some other reports mention the possibility that the new iPad mini uses the A20 Pro chip and has improved water resistance. However, this information has not been confirmed by Apple.
MacBook Pros and iMacs using the M6 chip may also appear
In addition to the high-end MacBook Pro, Apple is said to be preparing a standard 14-inch MacBook Pro version using the M6 chip.
Unlike the touch OLED version, this model is expected to continue to keep the design similar to the current generation. Bloomberg also said that Apple is preparing a new iMac using the M6 chip, while the overall design may not change significantly.

If the leaked information is accurate, Apple could simultaneously introduce a high-end MacBook Pro with an OLED touch screen, M5 Pro/M5 Max chip, and standard MacBook Pro models using the M6 chip but keeping the familiar design.
According to information provided by Mark Gurman, these products may be announced around October 27-28. Apple also invited several media members to experience the product in person in Los Angeles.
The new devices are expected to begin shipping in early November. Gurman once mentioned November 6 as a possibility, based on the schedule of display changes at Apple stores. However, the official opening date has not yet been announced by the company.
After a series of product launches in September and October, the "Pro and tell" event could be one of Apple's last notable hardware introductions in 2026.
Although the touch-sensitive MacBook Pro OLED is the most anticipated product, Apple has only confirmed the product experience on October 28. The above list of MacBook, iMac and iPad mini is still based on sources, not officially announced information from the company.
