Everything old is new again with the Fitbit Edge

The Fitbit Edge is a modern 179.99 USD fitness band that revives simple health tracking instead of packing complex smartwatch features.

  • The Fitbit Edge costs 179.99 USD and features a lightweight, fully rounded wristband design.
  • It includes built-in GPS and delivers about a week of battery life under normal usage conditions.
  • Google removed calling capabilities and contactless payments based on user usage data.
  • The software experience now centers around Google Health and an optional AI coach subscription priced at 10 USD monthly.
  • Setup requires agreeing to three mandatory legal terms alongside several optional device permissions.
