The test zone supports scientists and students in researching, manufacturing, testing, evaluating and perfecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This is also a place for businesses to place research orders and coordinate with school research groups to test and develop products.

Putting the test zone into operation helps connect the stages of research, testing and verifying technology in a real environment. The testing area also creates a space for students to directly participate in the product development process and approach business technology problems.

On the same day, Hanoi National University opened the Semiconductor Chip Packaging and Testing Laboratory and the Centralized Practice Center of the University of Technology.

The common point of the three projects is the approach to infrastructure development associated with specific activities and products, to realize the spirit of Resolution 57. Accordingly, students practice on industrial equipment and processes; Scientists have space to research, test, and verify technology; And businesses have more conditions to cooperate in training, order research and commercialize results.

According to Director of Hanoi National University Bui The Duy, the school is promoting cooperation with businesses, developing laboratories, testing areas and shared innovation spaces in new technology fields such as robotics, automation, unmanned systems and smart technology.

The goal is not only to improve research and technology development capacity but also for "students to participate in research and work with scientists and businesses", linking training with research and practical application, thereby improving the quality of human resources.

Sharing at the event, he said, Hanoi National University will focus resources on basic science; social sciences and humanities; strategic technology, core technology; Expand cooperation with businesses and promote the transfer and commercialization of research results.

In fact, the development of UAV testing infrastructure is also in the direction of exploiting the value of low-altitude space. According to the Politburo's September 28 conclusion, low-altitude space is identified as a national resource, new development space and special sovereignty space.

The Politburo aims to build three national flight test areas and at least one national research and testing center for UAVs, with the goal of putting them into operation from now to 2030.

Vietnam strives to increase the localization rate of key UAV lines serving production to 30-40% by 2030 and over 85% by 2045. By 2045, the low-altitude space economy is oriented to become a new growth engine, contributing about 1.5% of national GDP.
