(Dan Tri) - iPhone Duo quickly sold out globally after Apple allowed users to pre-order. The price of the product was pushed up to 10,000 USD on the black market.

Apple opens the door for users to pre-order iPhone Duo on October 16, before officially selling the product to the market on October 23.

In Vietnam, iPhone Duo has a starting price of 64.99 million VND (256GB memory), the highest price is 103.99 million VND (2TB memory) and users must deposit 30 million VND to reserve the product.

However, many Apple authorized dealers ran out of orders within the first 1-2 minutes of opening the sale, and some dealers stopped accepting orders due to the limited number of devices.

This situation occurs globally. Some users who successfully order an iPhone Duo will have to wait until December or even the end of January next year to receive their product.

Taking advantage of the scarcity, after successfully pre-ordering the iPhone Duo, some users have resold the product for many times more expensive than the original price.

On the e-commerce platform eBay, some people are selling iPhone Duo 2TB memory version at prices ranging from 5,000 to 6,000 USD, significantly higher than Apple's retail price of 3,199 USD.

Some iPhone Duo lower options such as 256GB memory (list price $1,999) are listed for sale from $2,700 to $4,000, while the 1TB version (list price $2,599) is listed for sale from $4,400.

Even on some social networking platforms such as Twitter, some users who successfully pre-ordered the iPhone Duo have offered a resale price of up to 10,000 USD, five times the starting price of the product.

Apple said demand for the iPhone Duo has been "exceptionally unexpected" and that it continues to accept pre-orders from users, but cannot guarantee the product will be delivered on time. Many users have criticized Apple and said that the company needs to act more aggressively to identify fake orders and cancel orders from scalpers.

Mark Gurman, a technology reporter who closely follows Apple's activities, commented that the company launched the iPhone Duo too early just to be on the market and compete with rivals, while not meeting enough supply.

It seems that Apple is cautious and wants to consider the market's reaction before increasing the production of iPhone Duo, especially when this phone is not cheap, leading to picky users.
