The price difference of iPhone Duo is up to 20 million VND on the black market
(Dan Tri) - On the morning of October 23, iPhone Duo will officially hit shelves in the Vietnamese market. However, the number of users who can receive the device on the first day of sale is not many.
Previously on the evening of October 16, Apple and its authorized dealers opened the iPhone Duo pre-order portal in the Vietnamese market. However, Apple's first folding screen iPhone quickly fell out of stock after just a few minutes of opening a deposit.

Up to now, many systems inform buyers that they have to wait at least until the end of November or December, and do not commit to an exact delivery time. Even customers who order iPhone Duo on Apple's online store will have to wait until the end of January 2027 to receive the device.
"The number of visitors learning about iPhone Duo skyrocketed right before the opening of the pre-order portal, with thousands of people registering to receive information. The majority of users interested in this device are businessmen, technology enthusiasts and Apple fans who want to experience new technology," a representative of Di Dong Viet shared.
Shortage of goods causes iPhone Duo prices to rise in the secondary market. According to Dan Tri reporter's research on iPhone buying and selling groups, many people offer early purchase of iPhone Duo at a price 15-20 million VND higher than the listed price.
This problem has occurred many times in previous iPhone sales. Right during the iPhone 18 Pro Max sale in September, many people took advantage of the shortage of goods to sell early purchase of the device at a price difference of 5-8 million VND.
To limit speculation, Apple and agents have set up many barriers such as requiring a deposit of 30 million VND for a device, each phone number can only pre-order one device, etc. However, these policies have not yet brought clear results.

In fact, speculating on iPhone Duo for arbitrage has become a problem on a global scale. On the e-commerce platform eBay, some people have offered to sell the iPhone Duo 2TB memory version for 5,000-6,000 USD, significantly higher than the listed price of 3,199 USD from Apple.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman said that Apple made a big mistake by opening iPhone Duo reservations globally, even though it knew the supply was not enough to meet demand. This decision causes many customers to have to wait more than 3 months to receive the company's first folding iPhone model.
According to Bloomberg, Apple initially only planned to launch iPhone Duo sales in the US and China markets, then expand to other countries. However, the company eventually decided to launch simultaneous bookings in more than 70 countries. Distributing products on a large scale causes the limited capital supply to be divided into many markets.
