There will soon be a social security application for workers in Ho Chi Minh City

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of October 20, the Vietnamese Brand Research and Development Center (THV) coordinated with agencies, units, banks and businesses to organize the signing and launching ceremony of the Twitter Social Security Project.
The project was built to support workers in accessing food, cosmetics and essential consumer goods with clear origins and appropriate quality at preferential prices. At the same time, the project also creates a bridge between Vietnamese manufacturers, the Trade Union system and consumers in industrial parks and export processing zones.
In a context where living costs are still a major concern for many worker families, the Twitter Social Security Project focuses on helping workers reduce the cost of purchasing essential goods, expanding access to products with clear brands, origins and quality standards.

The program aims to support workers in purchasing goods at prices about 5-15% lower than the reference market price, depending on the product group, supplier and each stage of implementation.
This is a direct incentive mechanism when purchasing goods, not a form of sponsorship or cash allocation for employees. Discounts do not automatically apply to all products; The specific selling price will be determined for each item and each deployment phase.
Expected product groups include rice, noodles, vermicelli, pasta; milk, coffee, packaged foods; cooking oil, sugar, fish sauce, spices and some hygiene and home care products. Product list, selling price, quality information and delivery method will be announced in batches after agreement with suppliers.
The project is expected to coordinate with grassroots Trade Unions and businesses in industrial parks and export processing zones to survey needs, synthesize orders and organize delivery in accordance with actual conditions. This approach aims to reduce intermediary costs, increase transparency in product information, selling prices and ordering processes, and create convenience for workers.
Talking to Dan Tri reporters, a project representative said the unit is also developing an application so workers can make purchases.
"Workers can buy goods on this application just like buying goods on e-commerce platforms. It is expected that the application will be officially released in the next 2 months so that workers can experience it before the Lunar New Year 2027", the project representative shared.
In addition to providing essential goods, the project aims to coordinate and organize spiritual and material support activities for workers such as worker market, "Tet Reunion" program, "Worker's Month", 0 VND booth;...
