17 Apple products were launched under CEO John Ternus

(Dan Tri) - Just over a month after John Ternus took over as CEO, Apple has announced a series of new devices, from the first folding iPhone to the HomeView screen and smart home ecosystem.
John Ternus officially became Apple CEO on September 1, succeeding Tim Cook after 15 years.
Just over a week later, he stepped on stage at the first major product event in his new position, before continuing to expand the company's hardware portfolio with the "Welcome Home" event on October 13.
If you count the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max as one product line, Apple has introduced 17 new products or device groups since Ternus became CEO.
This number includes smart home accessories co-developed by Apple with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, although they are not branded Apple.

The folding iPhone opens the John Ternus era
The most notable product at the September event was the iPhone Duo, Apple's first folding screen iPhone.
The device has a 5.4-inch external screen and a 7.6-inch internal screen, using the A20 Pro chip. Apple claims this is the iPhone's biggest landmark change since the first generation.

John Ternus directly introduced the product and called it an example of the company's ability to combine hardware and software.
Also appearing are iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The two models have upgraded 48MP Fusion Main cameras with variable aperture, performance, battery life and new Apple Intelligence features. Apple opens sales of the iPhone 18 Pro line from September 18.

Apple continues to refresh key product lines with iPhone 18 Pro, Watch Ultra 4, Watch Series 12 and AirPods 5 (Photo: Tuan Anh).
The wearable device segment is also refreshed with Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. Series 12 focuses on new generation health sensor systems, while Ultra 4 continues to target sports players and outdoor activities.
The fifth product of the September launch is AirPods 5.
The new headphone model continues the open-ear design but Apple adds active noise cancellation, along with many improvements related to sound and intelligence.
HomeView opens up a new game
If the September event still revolves around familiar product lines, the "Welcome Home" event on October 13 shows Apple's new ambitions under Ternus.
At the heart of this strategy is Apple HomeView, a 7-inch smart home display priced from $299.
The device can recognize each member's face and voice, display personalized content, make FaceTime calls, and control family devices with Siri AI.

Apple also launched HomePod mini 2. The new smart speaker uses the S10 chip, improves audio processing and can combine four speakers to create a surround sound system with the new generation Apple TV 4K.
The new Apple TV 4K is also greatly upgraded in terms of interaction with Siri AI. The device has a built-in long-range microphone, allowing users to call up voice assistants without holding the remote, and also serves as the Apple Home management center.
These three devices bring the total number of new products under Ternus to eight.
9 devices turn Apple Home into a complete ecosystem
The rest comes from Apple Home Collection, a set of accessories developed by Apple in cooperation with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric.
In the field of home security, LG offers four devices including Video Doorbell, Floodlight Camera, Outdoor Camera and Indoor Camera.
The cameras can record up to 2.5K resolution, identify people, pets, vehicles and parcels, and save event history via iCloud+.

Apple expands the home ecosystem with cameras, door locks, thermostats and sensors developed by LG (Photo: Apple).
Notably, LG Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband.
When the homeowner approaches with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch, the lock can sense the distance and automatically open without touching. Users can still open with Home Key, PIN code or backup physical key.
Apple also introduced two smart thermostats, one from LG and one from Schneider Electric. They can use presence data to self-adjust the temperature when the user is home, asleep, or away.
Completing the list are two independent temperature and humidity sensors from LG and Schneider Electric. Devices support Matter and work directly in the Home app.
Thus, Apple Home Collection has 9 accessories: four cameras, one door lock, two thermostats and two sensors.
Combined with the 8 products directly introduced by Apple previously, the total reached 17 new products or product groups since John Ternus took over as CEO.
However, it should be noted that not all 17 devices carry the Apple logo.
The first series of products shows that the John Ternus era begins in two parallel directions: continuing to refresh core devices like the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, while also taking Apple deeper into an area where it has never had a complete hardware portfolio - the smart home.
