AI App Predicts University Admission Chances, Attracts 50,000 Students in Vietnam

AI Hay has launched a new feature allowing high school exam candidates to predict their chances of being admitted to specific universities. The tool analyzes test scores, academic records, priority points, and competency exam results, cross-referencing data sourced from the Ministry of Education, provincial education departments, and individual university websites.

Three prediction categories

Results are classified into three categories: comfortable pass, narrow pass, and risk of failure. A chatbot interface accepts a student's personal information and preferences, then delivers a comparative analysis of tuition costs, training quality, and employment outcomes across different institutions. The app also includes a 25-question career orientation assessment.

CEO Tran Quang Duc said: "This is when AI tools prove their value" — when students must process a massive volume of dispersed information from many sources in a very short window.

50,000 users in the previous admissions season

Last year's version of AI Hay attracted over 50,000 users and ranked second in Vietnam's App Store education category. The platform does not make decisions for students; it synthesizes dispersed information into clearly sourced, structured data so students and families can make their own informed choices.
