Those of you who are using Lenovo computers, maybe you have overlooked a great application connecting your phone and computer, which is Smart Connect. In my opinion, this application has many more valuable points than Windows Phone Link, especially the ability to search, sync data between phone and computer, and has very interesting gestures.

Lenovo Smart Connect can connect to both Android and iOS phones. I don't know if the feature is limited when used with iPhone because I only tried it with Android. What is Lenovo Smart Connect?

Connecting between the computer and the phone is not too complicated, you don't even need to log in to your Lenovo ID account to still be able to use it. Those of you who are using Motorola phones may not need to download the app anymore because it is likely already pre-installed.

After successful connection, this is the main interface of the device, this is the software for you to communicate between your phone and computer, no need for Windows Phone Link and the features have some more interesting features than the default software of Windows 11. The first thing I like about Smart Connect is that it has a beautiful, easy-to-see, simple interface and focuses mainly on the most outstanding features such as Gallery, Send Files, Webcam, Messages, Notifications,... You can connect many devices to this Smart Connect, not limited to one device, this is similar to Phone Link.

Through the Files tab, you will see another interface, here, you can look up files in folders on your phone, you can send and receive files quickly via Share Hub, share the clipboard too. Note, searching on your phone from a computer can consume your CPU performance.

This is also very good, meaning when you copy text, images, documents, you can quickly share them on Share Hub, then on your phone, open Smart Connect and you can download it, no need to use any remote features.

Search

This feature helps you save more time by not having to open your phone, just search directly from Smart Connect and then open it on your computer. Not only can you find documents, you can also find images, videos, audio files or files downloaded to your phone.

Use your phone as a webcam, lock your PC remotely

This feature will be useful if you often have video meetings and use your phone's camera as a webcam, of course it provides much better quality than a laptop's webcam.

Not only can you use the phone's camera, but you can also use the front and back cameras, and use the flash as additional light. On your phone, you can remotely lock your PC via the Smart Connect application. If you use a Lenovo or Motorola phone, you will have other special features such as App Streaming, Cross Control and some other features. If you use regular Android and iOS phones, you will be able to use the features I shared above. In short, for my needs, I find transferring files between my phone and computer seamlessly and instantly is what I like the most, use the most, and am most useful. The remaining features are just supplementary in my daily work. If I need to use them from time to time, I find it extremely convenient.
