Belkin WCA013 45W has PD 3.2 certification, no arguments

I received the information and updated you guys: Regarding the content you shared about the Belkin WCA013 charger, I would like to update you with some of the latest information. After Belkin directly discussed and worked with USB-IF on issues related to the PD 3.2 standard, Belkin had more clarifying information on this issue as follows:

Is the Belkin WCA013 45W product PD 3.2 certified?

Have. The WCA013 charger has been tested and certified according to USB PD 3.2 standard of USB-IF (global USB standards management organization). I have attached 2 related certifications of USB IF and GRL for you to refer to and compare more product information.

Why is there information saying the chip inside only meets old standards?

Some articles online are based on the old datasheet (2020) of the IP2723T charging controller chip, at which time the new chip was only certified under PD 3.0. In fact, this chip was recertified in March 2024 against the USB PD 3.1 v1.8 standard – and more importantly, the PD 3.2 certification is issued for the complete product, not for individual components. WCA013 charger has passed all tests of PD 3.2 standard. Belkin US (Belkin America) has worked with the USB IF organization to clarify the information again because of questions from Vietnamese users, and USB IF has confirmed that the product WCA013 45W promoting USB PD 3.2 certification is completely correct. The product passed compliance testing for all remaining requirements of the USB PD 3.2 standard, despite using a PD chip designed to the previous spec version/revision (USB PD 3.1 v1.8).
