Price fluctuations of iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Max before the launch of iPhone 18
(Dan Tri) - Representatives of many large retail systems in Vietnam said that sales of some older iPhone models have slowed down recently.
This reflects the waiting psychology of users when the new iPhone is about to launch. The above situation is mainly recorded for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo. Meanwhile, sales of standard iPhone 17 versions, iPhone Air or older models such as iPhone 16 remain stable.

Entering the final stage of their life cycle, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are continuously adjusting prices by dealers. Specifically, the 256GB version is currently priced at 32 million VND and 34.5 million VND, respectively, a decrease of 500,000 VND compared to before.
iPhone 17 Pro Max is still considered one of the iPhone models that has been able to keep its price stable since it went on sale. After nearly a year of opening for sale, the product's price is only about 9% lower than the first days of its arrival in Vietnam.
During the same period, iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB version dropped to about 29 million VND during the off-peak period, equivalent to a decrease of about 15% compared to the listed price.
In contrast to the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo, iPhone 17 tends to increase in price after nearly a year on the shelves. Specifically, iPhone 17 is being offered for sale at a price of 24.5 million VND for the 256GB version, 700,000 VND higher than the previous period.
It can be seen that the price of iPhone 17 only decreased by 2% after nearly a year of being on sale in the Vietnamese market. This shows the incredible ability to keep the price of an Apple product.
According to a report from Counterpoint Research, iPhone 17 was the world's best-selling smartphone model in the second quarter. This product line accounts for 6% of smartphones sold in the world.

On a global scale, iPhone 17 sales outperform iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max versions. However, this shopping trend is somewhat different in the Vietnamese market.
Statistics from dealers show that iPhone 17 Pro Max is the best-selling device in the entire iPhone product line in Vietnam. In many systems, the product accounts for 50-70% of iPhone sales. At the same time, this is also the model that contributes largely to the revenue of the entire iPhone industry.
