The Ministry of Science and Technology issued a plan to promote publishing activities

On July 1, the Minister of Science and Technology issued a Plan to implement the Secretariat's Directive on strengthening the Party's leadership over publishing activities in the new situation.

The plan specifies the tasks assigned by the Ministry to promote the development of publishing activities in a modern, professional direction, associated with science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The plan sets out many key groups of tasks. Propaganda work has been strengthened to raise awareness about the role of publishing activities. There is also the task of perfecting institutions, policies and legal corridors for digital publishing; Developing infrastructure and digital platforms for publishing.

The Ministry also aims to improve the quality of published content, develop reading culture and train high-quality human resources; expand international cooperation; develop the copyright market and promote Vietnamese publications abroad.

Science - Technology - Communications Publishing House is assigned to preside over the development of the Ministry's action plan. This unit plays a focal role in monitoring, urging and synthesizing implementation results and preparing periodic reports.

The publisher also presides over many tasks in the plan, such as developing a digital publishing platform; Develop a book program on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation for the period 2026-2030. This is also the unit that implements programs to develop reading culture, build digital libraries, electronic bookcases and organize activities to respond to the annual Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day.

According to the representative of the Publishing House, this is the basis for the unit to innovate its operating model, promote digital transformation, develop multi-platform publishing products, and contribute to spreading scientific and technological knowledge and innovation.
