BYD Auto Vietnam and FUTA EV Power signed a strategic cooperation agreement on charging station infrastructure

BYD Auto Vietnam and FUTA EV Power (charging station infrastructure development unit of Phuong Trang Group - FUTA Group) have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The event aims to establish a comprehensive cooperation framework to develop the energy ecosystem and charging station infrastructure in Vietnam. According to the agreement, the two sides will coordinate to research, deploy and develop battery technology solutions, energy storage systems and modern charging station infrastructure. The focus of cooperation is connecting and sharing the charging station network. Customers of both BYD Auto Vietnam and FUTA EV Power can use the same charging station system operated by FUTA/Kim Long as well as BYD's charging station network nationwide.

Regarding how to operate and use common infrastructure, the agreement stipulates that all customers who own BYD vehicle models in Vietnam and users in the FUTA EV Power ecosystem have the right to access and use the same charging station network of both parties nationwide. The vehicle charging process will be carried out flexibly at business locations, agreed cooperative locations, or directly at the charging station system operated by FUTA and Kim Long in addition to BYD's existing network. The special feature of this shared system is its synchronous development orientation, not only serving the personal electric car group but also designed to meet the large-scale charging needs of commercial vehicles, passenger cars, trucks and specialized vehicles in the future.

The results from this handshake bring real value to both businesses in optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience. For BYD Auto Vietnam, the company quickly solved the problem of expanding the reach of charging infrastructure, creating more favorable conditions for users in the process of using the car and strengthening trust in new energy vehicles.

On the contrary, FUTA EV Power achieved important results when directly accessing advanced international technology standards from BYD to improve battery design and production capacity as well as quality management. In particular, sharing data about location and operating capacity between the two brands helps FUTA EV Power maximize the performance of the large-scale charging station network nationwide. At the same time, coordinating research on battery technology solutions and modern energy storage systems will be a pivotal step for the two sides to realize their commitment to promoting electrified transportation in Vietnam.
