How LG brings design closer to life
(Dan Tri) - From ultra-thin wall-mounted TVs, smart screens with the ability to move flexibly to robots that assist with housework, LG products are increasingly designed to adapt more naturally to space and usage needs.
With LG, aesthetics, functionality and user experience are factors throughout the product development process.
When technology becomes a part of living space
One of the noticeable changes in modern device design is the trend toward reducing the physical presence of technology in the space. Instead of being a striking mass of devices, products are increasingly designed to blend into the surrounding architecture and interiors.
LG OLED evo W6 AI TV is an example. With an ultra-thin wall-mounted design of only about 9mm, this TV is almost pressed against the wall or glass surface, helping the TV become part of the interior space instead of a separate electronic device.
Meanwhile, the LG PuriCare AeroMini air purifier follows a compact, lightweight design that is easy to arrange in many different locations in the house. What these products have in common is that technology no longer necessarily becomes the focus of the room, but can be present in a subtle way that is more suitable for the overall interior.
Design starts with how users actually use the product
Not only does it change the way devices appear in space, design also increasingly comes from users' actual usage behavior.
The LG Smart Monitor Swing smart screen uses a flexible stand on wheels, allowing users to easily move the device between the work area, living room or workout space.
This change reflects the fact that screen usage needs are increasingly diverse. A device that can be used to handle work during the day, watch entertainment content in the evening, or support workouts at home. Then, instead of forcing the user to organize the space around the device, the design is adjusted so that the device can follow the user's needs.

With the LG CLOiD™ butler robot, the design experience is extended to the way humans interact with technology. Not only developed to support daily household tasks, CLOiD can also respond to the user's voice and gestures through many facial expressions.
These elements are intended to help the process of interacting with the robot become more intuitive and natural, instead of depending entirely on technical commands.
On the other hand, the ultra-light LG gram Pro laptop uses Aerominum alloy to balance weight, durability and aesthetics. Meanwhile, the LG UltraFine evo graphic monitor has a thin bezel design on all four sides, aiming for a more seamless visual experience for creative users.
These approaches of LG were also recently recognized at international design awards. At the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2026, LG received a total of 17 awards, including 5 Bronze awards and 12 products in the Final round.
LG CLOiD butler robot, LG OLED evo W6 TV, LG gram Pro laptop, along with LG xboom Mini and LG xboom Stage 501 were honored at three of the world's leading design awards including IDEA, Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award in 2026.
Being recognized at all three award systems at the same time shows that LG's design direction is being highly appreciated on a global scale, from audio-visual equipment and home appliances to information technology and robotics.
These recognitions reflect the orientation of creating products that are both in harmony with the living space and enhance convenience and aesthetics for users. As technology becomes an increasingly permanent part of life, design is therefore not just how a product looks, but also how the product appears, operates and adapts to people in each living space.
