Improvements worth waiting for on Galaxy S27 Ultra

(Dan Tri) - For many years, Samsung's Galaxy S product line has had almost no battery capacity upgrades.
Even on the latest Galaxy S26 Ultra version, the device still has a built-in 5,000mAh battery, equivalent to the battery capacity on the Galaxy S20 Ultra model launched in 2020.

According to PhoneArena, the Korean technology giant will focus on upgrading battery capacity on the Galaxy S27 product line. Specifically, the Galaxy S27 Ultra version will be improved with a 5,800mAh battery, while the Galaxy S27 Pro model will have a 5,200mAh battery.
Some sources from the supply chain revealed that the company will apply Silicon-Carbon battery technology on the Galaxy S27 generation. This helps increase energy density, while not affecting the overall thinness and design of the device.
It is expected that the Galaxy S27 generation will have 4 different versions, including Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. According to Android Authority, the product was developed with the internal codename "NM", which stands for "New Miracle" or "Next Miracle".
In particular, Galaxy S27 Pro is a completely new variant, positioned in the high-end segment and has a more compact size than the Ultra version.
Some information says the Galaxy S27 Pro will share most of the same specifications as the Ultra version. However, this model will not support connection to the S Pen. This difference not only helps the company decentralize equipment in the product range, but also helps optimize production costs.

Last year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge model as the fourth version of the Galaxy S product line. The product has a thin and light design and is aimed at a group of users who love fashion.
However, this device did not achieve sales as expected. Some rumors even confirm that the company has stopped planning to develop the Galaxy S26 Edge generation. Therefore, the Galaxy S27 Pro may approach users in a different direction.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Ultra continues to be the most premium variant. It is expected that the main camera on the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be equipped with a sensor with 200MP resolution. This camera has the ability to change aperture, thereby improving photography performance in both strong and low light conditions.
In addition, the device also integrates a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera using a Sony IMX855 sensor, along with a 5x optical zoom camera with 50MP resolution. The selfie camera can be upgraded to a 16MP sensor that supports autofocus.
