(Dan Tri) - Honor Robot Phone was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 exhibition taking place in March. The device opens up a completely new mobile segment in the market.

The special highlight on Robot Phone lies in the 4DoF mechanical gimbal system integrated directly into the camera body. Honor calls this the Titanium Agile Gimbal system. The way this system works is similar to some action cameras on the market such as DJI Osmo Pocket 4 or Insta360 Luna Ultra.







To activate the gimbal, users need to manually slide the camera cover to the right, while also enabling the corresponding mode in the camera app. In case the shield is not opened, a warning will appear on the screen.
Robot Phone is not equipped with a physical gimbal control key cluster like products from DJI and Insta360. Therefore, gimbal control operations completely depend on virtual buttons on the screen. In return, the large screen allows users to observe and operate more easily than the small screen on Osmo Pocket 4 or Luna Ultra.
The gimbal system on Robot Phone can rotate nearly 360 degrees, supporting many focus modes such as FPV, Spin Shot (camera rotation), Super Steady (anti-shake) and subject tracking.
Inside the camera application, users can set camera orientation options vertically or horizontally, adjust gimbal speed or control button sensitivity, adjust aspect ratio and turn on/off the focus area display feature.







With the integration of a gimbal, users can use the camera to perform difficult shooting angles or record motion videos with stable anti-shake capabilities. In addition, this camera can also rotate forward to become a selfie camera.
However, the gimbal system also makes the device's design significantly more bulky. The device weighs up to 248g, with a thickness of 9.6mm (not including the camera system). The device is quite heavy at the head, giving the feeling of holding not really comfortable when the center of gravity is deviated towards the top of the body.
When not using gimbal mode, the device's camera cluster operates similar to regular smartphones. Accordingly, this system includes a 200MP main lens with integrated mechanical gimbal, a 200MP periscope lens that supports 2.7x optical zoom and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
In addition, Robot Phone is also equipped with Honor H1 image processing chip, combined with ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks.
ARRI LogC3 mode helps retain more image information in both highlights and shadows, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 provides a wider color range, while ARRI Looks offers preset cinematic color styles. The camera system also integrates AI to help improve video quality, reduce noise and increase the ability to retain details in both bright and dark areas.





Besides, the MagicOS platform also supports YOYO Robot Mode. At this time, the robot phone can also respond with actions such as nodding, shaking its head, and even dancing to the beat of the music, providing a lively and fun experience.
Robot Phone has a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED screen, protected by HONOR NanoCrystal Shield glass and integrated eye protection technology.
The screen supports 1-120Hz adaptive scan frequency, 6,800 nit maximum brightness and 4,320Hz PWM brightness adjustment technology, helping to provide a smooth display experience and reduce flickering when used for long periods of time.
The device integrates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, along with a new generation silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 7,060mAh, supporting 120W wired and 50W wireless SuperCharge fast charging.



The test version in the article comes from the Chinese domestic market. Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Honor representative said that currently the company has no plans to sell this phone model in the Vietnamese market.
