After the boom of smart watches, the wearable device market is witnessing the growth of the smart ring segment.
Unlike smartwatches, most smart rings today do not have a display screen, instead recording health indicators such as heart rate, blood oxygen level (SpO₂), sleep quality or activity level and then syncing the data with the application on the phone.
At the end of 2024, Casio attracted attention when it launched the CRW-001 model, a miniature electronic watch that can be worn on the finger. However, this product only has basic functions such as displaying time, calendar, alarm, stopwatch and LED light, and is not equipped with health monitoring sensors.
The new CRW-H001 model still retains the ring watch design with an LCD screen displaying the time, but is supplemented with a sensor to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen level, body temperature, number of steps, calories burned and sleep quality.
The device also supports recording some exercise activities and has the ability to vibrate to notify calls or messages from smartphones.
All health data is synchronized and managed through the smartphone application.

Casio says the CRW-H001 uses a separate power system. The sensor and smart features use a rechargeable battery, lasting about 4-6 days after each full charge.
Meanwhile, the battery time display module has a lifespan of about 2 years before needing replacement. Thanks to that, users can still see the time even when the smart feature is out of battery.
CRW-H001 is currently available for sale in the Chinese market in three different sizes to fit each finger size. The selling price of the product is 1,990 yuan (equivalent to about 7.7 million VND).
