What's special about the Mac Studio 2026 computer that costs more than half a billion VND?

On the evening of August 25, Apple suddenly launched the new generation Mac mini and Mac Studio, with many configuration upgrades.
While Mac mini stands out with its compact design, Mac Studio is equipped with powerful configuration, targeting professional users who need to handle heavy tasks such as graphics, video editing and AI model training.
The new Mac Studio has two chip options, M5 Max and M5 Ultra. Apple says the new generation chips deliver significant improvements in video processing, gaming, and AI performance.
In Vietnam, Mac Studio version 2026 has a starting price of 69.99 million VND. Standard configuration includes M5 Max chip with 18 CPU cores, 32 GPU cores, 36GB RAM and 512GB storage drive.
With the version using the M5 Max chip, users can choose up to 128GB RAM and 8TB storage drive. When upgrading to this configuration, the product price is 246.99 million VND.
Mac Studio uses the M5 Ultra chip with a starting price of 159.99 million VND.
In the most advanced configuration, Mac Studio is equipped with an M5 Ultra chip with 36 CPU cores, 80 GPU cores, 256GB RAM and 16TB storage drive, priced up to 511.99 million VND.
If you order the most advanced configuration package and add a license to Final Cut Pro video editing software and Logic Pro audio processing software, users have to spend 527.99 million VND.
This is the price for Mac Studio alone. Users will have to purchase additional monitors, keyboards and mice if these devices are not available.
All Mac Studio versions are equipped with four Thunderbolt 5 ports, two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, a 10Gbps Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The product supports outputting content to up to 8 screens simultaneously.
The price of Mac Studio 2026 increases significantly compared to the 2025 generation. One of the reasons may be related to the cost of components, especially chips and memory, in the context of a sharp increase in demand for AI infrastructure globally.
