The event marked an important step forward, opening a deeper strategic connection channel between the Vietnamese and Japanese technology business communities.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh's term begins in June and lasts until the end of the organization's 2028 Annual Congress.

Keidanren, established in 1946, is one of the most influential economic organizations in Japan, representing the voice of the country's business community with the participation of global corporations such as Hitachi, Panasonic, Mitsui & Co., or ITOCHU.

Within the structure of Keidanren, the Consultative Council serves as a high-level consultation mechanism. As Shingiin, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh will contribute policy perspectives, management experience and propose long-term cooperation initiatives, affecting economic relations between Japan and international partners.

Keidanren representatives highly appreciated Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh's positive contributions since CMC Group joined the organization in 2024.

Keidanren's side expects that CMC Chairman will continue to promote new cooperation initiatives on digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI), technology infrastructure and human resource development from the perspective of Vietnam as well as the ASEAN region.

The appointment takes place in the context that Vietnam - Japan relations are witnessing many major collaborations in new technology fields such as AI, data centers, semiconductors and cyber security.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh is the co-founder and driver of CMC from a small business (in 1993) to a leading technology corporation in Vietnam with more than 6,000 employees.

Besides running businesses, he also holds many core roles at large organizations such as Vice Chairman of the National Cyber Security Association, Vice Chairman of the National Data Association, and is an expert who regularly contributes ideas to the development of digital economic and data sovereignty policies for the Government of Vietnam.
