The race to bring AI to life and the advantages of Dien May Xanh

(Dan Tri) - AI technology has appeared on a series of personal and family devices around the world. However, in Vietnam, from the time users know the information until they get to touch and experience the actual product, there is still a big gap.
Every year, major technology events in the world such as CES or MWC introduce a series of breakthrough products from AI computers, household robots to smart glasses and smart home ecosystems. Thanks to the development of social networks, Vietnamese consumers grasp information very quickly. A device has just launched in the US, Japan or Korea after a short period of time flooding online platforms.
However, updating information promptly does not mean having the opportunity to experience it early. Many product lines are popular in developed markets, but domestic users still have to wait many months, never even having the chance to try them.
Concerned about this paradox on his personal page recently, CEO of Dien May Xanh - Doan Van Hieu Em called this "Tech Gap" - the technology experience gap.

Reality shows that barriers do not come from market demand. Vietnam has more than 100 million people, a young population structure and consumers who adopt technology very quickly. In 2025, the electronics market will decrease by 9% in volume but increase by 12.6% in value (according to NIQ/GfK Vietnam), showing that buyers are willing to spend more for better products. What's missing is a channel wide enough to get new technology into their hands early.
Why does new technology need to be experienced firsthand?
These new product lines have three things in common that make the direct sales channel even more important. First, new technology will be difficult to understand through a screen. The value of an AI PC or a civil robot lies in how it works, not in the parameter sheet. Buyers need to try it out and get an explanation before deciding.
Second, the order value is higher. New product generations often have higher configurations and prices than previous generations. Deferred payment solution at the point of sale helps buyers upgrade without having to wait for enough money to accumulate.
Third, new technology requires installation and after-sales support. Smart home devices, residential robots or home connection systems need to be installed, connected and maintained by a professional team.
That's why physical stores are still the main channel for this product group. Right at Dien May Xanh (DMX), although super app (scale application) and online channels contribute 14% of total revenue in 8 months of 2026, the majority of customers still choose to go to the store when buying products that need advice.

DMX's advantage in bringing technology closer to users
In order for Vietnamese people to experience new technology almost at the same time as the rest of the world, DMX determined that it needs to do many things well at the same time: deliver goods early, have a wide enough network, professional consulting and services, and suitable payment solutions for buyers.
Firstly, the system can deliver goods early on a world-class level with the capacity proven with the recent iPhone 18 sale. When TopZone was born 6 years ago with the promise of making Vietnam an important market on the world map. Now Vietnamese consumers can touch the latest products and technology at the same time as the world.
The second advantage of DMX is related to coverage. With more than 3,000 stores across the country, it helps deliver products quickly to customers, and the stores are where users can see, touch and try new products.
The next advantage is related to consulting, installation and service capabilities with more than 4,000 qualified workers.
Fourth, consumer financial services help eliminate barriers to product prices and the desire to test new technologies. This trend is currently increasing with 38% of DMX's revenue coming from deferred payments and 97% of products using deferred payments.
Finally, there is DMX's financial capacity. The company has 44,670 billion VND in cash and short-term financial investments as of June 30, ready to invest in new products and upgrade the experience space.

As the leading ICT and electronics retailer in Vietnam, DMX has the opportunity to bring new products in from the first batch. As a multi-brand retailer, DMX is also not dependent on which platform or company is leading but benefits from the industry's need to upgrade.
In the computer group, DMX's laptop revenue increased by 40% in the first 8 months of 2026, among the fastest growing product groups. When the AI PC hits shelves in the fall, it will be one of the first tests of this advantage.
Every time a new product line appears, DMX can immediately add it to the existing network without having to build from scratch: stores, consultants, installers and deferred payment solutions are all ready. This is an advantage in a short and rapidly changing new product cycle.
In addition, in the race to bring new technology to the country the fastest, the retailer's scale and operating capacity play a decisive role. When the initial supply from global manufacturers is limited, units with large consumption power are often given priority to allocate goods early in large quantities.

AI is gradually entering everyday life: from computers, smart homes to robots that serve people.
DMX affirms its position in the market with a solid foundation: revenue in the first 8 months of 2026 reached VND 87,050 billion, up 29% over the same period, profit after tax in 6 months increased by 73% and growth comes from the productivity of the existing network.
With available network, services and financial capacity, DMX is in a favorable position to contribute to shortening the technology experience gap between Vietnam and the world.
