XSTO Mobility (personal mobility device manufacturing brand) has launched the XSTO X12 All-terrain Mobility Robot. This is a high-end electric wheelchair integrating AI technology, a wheel-crawler hybrid system with the ability to climb stairs, providing freedom of movement for people with disabilities, the elderly,... who need to overcome complex terrain. XSTO Mobility's website shows two versions of the device: X12 and X12 Pro.

Main function

According to the manufacturer, XSTO X12 is a mobile robot (Embodied Mobile Robot) designed to help users move in many different terrains:

The XSTO X12 can overcome obstacles from 100 mm (front) to 220 mm (rear) high, and cross ditches/pits up to 300 mm wide in crawler mode. The device also has the ability to adjust the tilt of the wheels when traveling on steep, rough terrain. This helps keep the surface of the chair where the user sits flat, horizontally parallel to the ground, without leaning forward or leaning back. XSTO X12 has the ability to automatically identify stairs and this device will collect 4 wheels and then use crawlers to move. The lift shaft system allows the chair's height to be raised or lowered within the range of 490 ~ 762 mm above the ground. This function helps the person sitting easily pick up items from high places or lift them up to gently support the standing position.

The manufacturer shares that XSTO X12 has a few other highlights as follows:
