Weekly point: Messenger crashes, Galaxy Z Fold8 launches

Messenger has widespread problems
Around 9pm on July 22, many Facebook users in Vietnam reported that they were having trouble sending messages on Messenger.

When trying to access the messaging section on Messenger, users will receive the message: "This page is not currently visible. The cause may be a technical error that we are working to fix. Please try reloading this page."
This problem mainly appears on the web platform. For the mobile Messenger application, some people experience slow message sending or cannot send messages. Meanwhile, some users can still text normally.
Galaxy Z Fold8 launched
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is an upgraded version of Galaxy Z Fold7. The product has a traditional butterfly folding design with a 6.5-inch external screen and an 8-inch internal screen.

While the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 duo retain the design of their predecessors, the Galaxy Z Fold8 version is a completely new product, possessing a square screen design with a 4:3 ratio. When expanded, the Galaxy Z Fold8 turns into a tablet with a 7.6-inch screen.
In the Vietnamese market, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra duo have listed prices from 47 million VND and 53 million VND respectively for the 256GB version. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 model is priced at 32 million VND.
Foldable iPhone is at risk of being late
According to DigiTimes, Apple is facing some technical difficulties during the production of the first folding screen iPhone. Specifically, the report reveals that the technical validation phase could cause a delay of 1-2 months due to issues related to the hinge structure and screen durability testing.

The report says that Apple has appointed Foxconn to produce the device from the new product introduction (NPI) stage until mass production. Foxconn is currently Apple's only partner with enough capacity to meet production targets.
Initial leaked information confirmed that the folding screen iPhone will be announced in September, at the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. However, with issues related to the production process, it is unclear when exactly this device will be announced.
Pirated web games and movies are back in operation
Surveys on closed groups on Facebook show that, just by searching for the phrase "theater movie link", users can easily come across a series of groups specializing in sharing secretly filmed movies in theaters or illegally distributed versions.

Many new movies are continuously updated, even while they are still being released. In some groups, administrators regularly compile movie viewing links in online spreadsheets, categorizing hundreds of movies by name and release date.
For users to access, this group also posted videos showing how to bypass intermediary pages containing ads. Below each article, many members constantly ask for links to new movies released in theaters.
iPhone 15 price increased
According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters at many Apple authorized dealers in Vietnam (AAR), iPhone 15 is offered for sale at a price of 18 million VND for the 128GB version, an increase of 500,000 VND compared to the beginning of the second quarter.

Over the past year or so, this product has undergone many price adjustments. There was a period when the price of the iPhone 15 dropped to less than 15 million VND. However, since Apple changed its sales policy for iPhone 15, this model has continuously increased in price.
Up to now, when the supply of iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 is gradually running out on the market, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 17e duo have become the most accessible options for Vietnamese users.
Galaxy S27 Pro revealed
According to Android Authority, the Galaxy S27 product line is being developed with the internal codename "NM", short for "New Miracle" or "Next Miracle".
Variants from NM1 to NM4 show the occurrence of different versions. In particular, NM4 is most likely the Galaxy S27 Ultra version, while NM3 is mentioned as a new Galaxy S27 Pro model.
A report by ETNews says that the Galaxy S27 Pro will be equipped with a 6.47-inch OLED screen. This size is larger than the standard Galaxy S27 version and smaller than the Galaxy S27+.
