Using leftover boards from previous projects, I made a small shelf to store scrap wood. Although it looks very simple, the making process also has many interesting details, inviting everyone to refer to it.

After cutting the main parts, I made a mark on the surface of the board so that the post would be recessed inside.

There is a detail here that newbies will find difficult to notice, which is that when marking, you must remember which side you will cut when cutting. Whether the pen has thin or thick ink lines, the sawing line is about 2-3mm, cutting on the wrong side will also create an unsatisfactory size. If you're not familiar with it, you can mark Twitter on the side that needs to be cut so you don't forget.

Using a miter saw to cut small corners like this is best, because it is very safe and the cuts are close and there is no excess like with a circular blade saw.

Use pneumatic nails to pre-shape the pieces together, then drill them to screw. This type of MDF board should be pre-drilled, otherwise when screwing, the board will easily break, causing loss of connection.

And finally the result, I also added a few small wooden bars to prevent the contents from falling out. With just a little time to warm up in the morning, I finished a satisfactory shelf. It can be said that this is a shelf made from scrap wood used to store scrap wood. Although the design is somewhat simple, it is still very sturdy.
