Facebook suffers from widespread problems

"I was texting with a friend on the Facebook Messenger platform when my account suddenly got logged out. I tried to log back in many times but couldn't," Ms. Ngoc Anh, living in Thanh My Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City, shared.

Specifically, when accessing Facebook using the web platform, users will receive the message: "Sorry, something happened. We are working and will soon handle this problem."

Meanwhile, some users said their Facebook and Messenger accounts on their phones were suddenly logged out. When trying to log in again, the system will report an error.

Not only in Vietnam, this incident is also happening globally.

Recorded from social network health monitoring site Downdetector, more than 50,000 users globally have reported errors on the Facebook social networking platform.

Not only Facebook, some other Meta platforms are also having problems. The Instagram app still opens but doesn't display any posts. Meanwhile, the Messenger platform cannot send messages.

Up to now, Meta has not made any official announcement about the above incident.

In March 2024, a series of Meta platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Threads all stopped working. By December 2024, a similar incident continued to occur and affected millions of users globally.

In both cases, Meta confirmed that the cause of the incident was due to an internal technical error, not related to a cyber attack.

By 9:30 p.m., the problem was gradually resolved. Users can already access and use Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.
