FPT is looking for young talents to research AI and quantum computing
The program is implemented at the Quantum AI & Cyber Security Institute (QACI), aiming to build a team capable of solving in-depth technology problems, creating new knowledge and putting research results into practical applications.
According to FPT Corporation, this program is in the direction of breakthrough development in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, including the content of developing high-quality human resources and gradually mastering strategic technologies.
Access to international research infrastructure and networks
FPT Frontier Innovators participants will have access to high-performance GPU infrastructure and in-depth AI tools, serving testing, model training and research problems that require large computing capacity.
Accordingly, each researcher will have the opportunity to work directly with scientists, advisors and connect with international research networks. According to FPT, the program opens opportunities to participate in short-term exchange and research activities at Mila - Quebec AI Research Institute and partners in Japan, America, Europe, England, Australia, and Singapore.
FPT Frontier Innovators also supports researchers in publishing their work, attending international scientific conferences in the A/A* group, and building an academic roadmap for those who plan to continue their doctoral program.
Besides resources for research, participants can access practical problems from business activities, products and services in the FPT corporation ecosystem. According to the organizing unit, this approach aims to create a two-way connection, in which practical problems can become research topics, and research results have the opportunity to be verified and applied.
Recruit two groups of researchers
FPT Frontier Innovators 2026 recruits two groups of candidates including Talent Researcher and Middle Researcher.
With Talent Researcher, the program is aimed at final-year students, bachelor's or master's graduates in Math and STEM fields. Candidates need to have a background in mathematics, machine learning, programming and an orientation to pursue scientific research.
In the Middle Researcher group, candidates need to have at least two years of research experience in a related field, a background in mathematics, machine learning and programming, and have a record of scientific publications.
Researchers will focus on three technology groups. With AI, the program researches new generation systems capable of perceiving, reasoning, planning and acting in digital environments as well as the real world. Main directions include Agent AI, Physical AI, AI for Science & Enterprise.
In the field of quantum computing, the program focuses on researching next generation computing models and algorithms, targeting highly complex problems. With cyber security, research focuses on protecting systems, data and digital space in the context of AI and increasingly developing digital infrastructure.
More than 2,000 applicants from previous programs
According to FPT, the corporation's previous young talent search programs have attracted more than 2,000 candidates, and participating teams have developed research projects published at more than 130 international conferences in the A/A* group.
After the program, some alumni continue to pursue research and academic careers at UCLA, Stanford University, Virginia Tech... The cooperative relationship between FPT and Mila - Quebec AI Research Institute was also built from the implementation phase of these programs.
FPT said that Frontier Innovators continues its model of connecting research activities with practical problems in businesses, while expanding cooperation with research institutes, universities and international scientific teams. FPT Frontier Innovators 2026 accepts applications until October 7.
