G-Group received investment certificate for data centers and high technology

The project is a complex of High-Tech Center and Data Center meeting Tier III standards specializing in serving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC). With a total investment capital of nearly 7,600 billion VND, this is one of the large-scale technology projects to be implemented in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park in the coming period.

Add impetus to the AI economy
Planned on an area of more than 38,000 square meters in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, G-Campus is a large-scale digital infrastructure complex consisting of 4 functional subdivisions serving the high-tech value chain.
Of which, two subdivisions 1 and 2 focus on research and development (R&D), testing and designing products in key fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data (Big Data), Internet of Things (IoT), high performance computing (HPC) and network security.

The remaining two subdivisions play a central role in the project: the Tier III Data Center (Uptime Institute) specializes in serving AI and HPC. In the first phase, the center has 20 MW of information technology power capacity (20 MW IT), largely designed for AI/HPC systems using direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology.
After expansion, the total capacity is expected to reach 30 MW IT, providing data infrastructure, cloud computing and commercial AI/HPC services for domestic and international agencies, organizations and businesses.
The project is implemented in the context of the Capital promoting digital infrastructure development. According to Plan 09/KH-UBND for the period 2026-2030, Hanoi aims to achieve an average of 4 IoT connections per person by 2030; At the same time, it sets the goal of a digital government model operating on big data and AI platforms, and by 2035, universalizing IoT devices throughout the city.
The huge amount of data generated from tens of millions of connections is one of the factors requiring Hanoi to develop at least two super-large data centers, while promoting the formation of data centers specializing in serving artificial intelligence and edge data centers.
In that context, G-Campus with a total investment of nearly VND 7,600 billion is expected to add large-scale data and computing capacity to the innovation ecosystem in Hoa Lac, contributing to realizing the Capital's AI and digital economy development goals.

"G-Campus is not just a technology infrastructure investment project, but a long-term commitment of G-Group in accompanying Hanoi city into the AI era. We believe that, in the future, data capacity and computing capacity will become an important part of national competitiveness.
Therefore, what G-Group aims for is not to build the largest data center, but to build a platform that is modern enough, safe enough and open enough to serve research, technology development, digital transformation and large-scale AI applications," Mr. Phung Anh Tu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of G-Group, shared.
Strategic cooperation to realize new generation data centers
In parallel with receiving the investment certificate for the G-Campus project, G-Group also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hanoi People's Committee and OTECH - a member of the Omantel Group, and a leading information and communications technology solution provider in the Kingdom of Oman.
Cooperation towards investing, developing and operating data center infrastructure ready for artificial intelligence in Vietnam.
Accordingly, the parties will jointly research new generation AI data center development models, cloud computing infrastructure, high-performance computing infrastructure, GPU computing, data services, information security and digital transformation solutions.

The goal is to gradually form a modern digital infrastructure, capable of meeting the growing needs of the public sector, businesses and domestic and international organizations.
In the cooperation structure, Hanoi People's Committee plays the role of connecting user needs, developing digital infrastructure and related products/services, and creating conditions for strategic technology projects according to regulations.
OTECH brings experience in operating national-scale data infrastructure, sovereign cloud management capacity, and research and capital arrangement. Meanwhile, G-Group is fully responsible for investment and capital structure, while also providing technical resources, operating and commercializing products in the Vietnamese market.
Simultaneously deploying G-Campus and establishing a cooperation framework with OTECH shows G-Group's in-depth development strategy in entering the high-tech infrastructure segment.
This is also a direction consistent with Hanoi's goal of building large-scale digital infrastructure, developing digital government, smart cities and enhancing Hoa Lac's position as the capital's technology growth pole.
