Galaxy S26 opens a digital health journey for Vietnamese people

(Dan Tri) - A coordinated program between Samsung and the Ministry of Health is placing smartphones and smart watches in the role of concretizing the proactive disease prevention trend in Vietnam.
In June, Samsung Vietnam coordinated with the Central Health Education and Communication Center (T5G), Ministry of Health, to announce the program "Proactive health care every day - For a healthy Vietnam".
The program was born in the context that Vietnam's healthcare industry is experiencing an important shift in direction. Resolution 72 of the Politburo clearly states the goal of shifting strongly from thinking focused on medical examination and treatment to proactive disease prevention, focusing on comprehensive and continuous health protection and improvement over the life cycle, and promoting digital transformation in healthcare so that technology solutions to support health monitoring become closer to people in daily life.

This is also the general trend of the region. A survey by Samsung in Southeast Asia and Oceania shows that adults in this region consider health a priority after finances and family, but actual implementation is still fragmented, leading to a gap between wishes and actions.
Specifically, adults in the area only sleep an average of 6 hours and 59 minutes per night, lower than the recommended 7-9 hours. As lifestyle-related non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease or metabolic disorders become increasingly common, bridging this gap becomes a common problem for both the health system and the technology industry.
In the program, Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Watch8 series are set as technology cores. Samsung Health on Galaxy S26 acts as a healthy living data center, synthesizing all personal indicators and combining with Galaxy AI to provide suggestions suitable to each person's habits, instead of applying a general formula for everyone.
On the wrist, the Galaxy Watch8 adds a more detailed layer of biological data: the Vitals feature analyzes 5 signals during sleep including heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory frequency, skin temperature and blood oxygen concentration, helping users recognize when the body needs more rest.
The Heart Health Score is compiled daily from sleep, stress, exercise and body composition data, while the Antioxidant Index measures skin Carotenoid levels to provide motivation to maintain a healthy diet.
The difference in Samsung's approach lies in not setting big goals from the beginning. The Galaxy ecosystem quantifies every small change, whether it's sleeping an extra 15 minutes or walking a few hundred more steps, into a visual score and level on Samsung Health, helping users see progress every day and maintain long-term habits instead of giving up halfway.
The program kicked off with the Galaxy Run community run in Ho Chi Minh City on June 21, attracting about 5,000 participants. In July and August, the two sides continued to organize a series of thematic seminars, including training sessions for about 300 health communication officers from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) of 34 provinces and cities, and forums for students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Vu Manh Cuong, Director of the Central Health Education and Communication Center, Ministry of Health, said the program aims to help each person become a subject in protecting and improving their own health.
On Samsung's side, Mr. Le Xuan Truong, Director of Marketing and Communications of Samsung Vietnam's Mobile Experience industry, said the goal of cooperation is to promote technology strengths to encourage people to proactively monitor and improve their daily health through Galaxy Watch8 series and Samsung Health.
The program in Vietnam is also part of the long-term direction that Samsung pursues globally. At the VivaTech 2026 event, the company introduced its vision of connected healthcare, integrating phones, wearables, home appliances and televisions in the same Samsung Health ecosystem, and revealed plans to connect personal health data with specialized medical teams through Xealth, the digital health platform that Samsung acquired.
This is the direction that shows that Galaxy S26, with Samsung Health as the data coordination center, does not stop at recording daily indicators but gradually becomes a bridge between users and more specialized health care services in the future.
With Galaxy S26, each user's proactive health care journey can start today, with just one click of downloading Samsung Health and letting the accompanying Galaxy ecosystem record and analyze small changes every day.
That is also the throughout spirit that the program between Samsung and the Ministry of Health wants to spread: turning health care from a distant concept into a close habit, starting with the familiar phone in each person's hand.
