Galaxy Watch8 Classic after 6 months of use: Fashionable, multi-functional for exercise and health care

After half a year of continuous use in many contexts - going to work, going out, exercising - the Galaxy Watch8 Classic left the clearest impression in the design.
Design: beautiful in a unique style

The rotating metal bezel is a detail that creates the characteristic language of the Classic line, both identifiable and convenient. When worn on the street, the watch almost does not "touch" any popular smartwatch models, so it feels like there is something very unique and personal.

The white version I use is what I'm most excited about because it has the ability to blend with many fashion styles, while the black version is darker and suitable when you want to keep a sophisticated look.

In addition, Samsung maintaining the Classic version and the regular Watch8 version in parallel also helps this product line meet more diverse aesthetic needs; The regular version does not have a rotating bezel so it is compact and slim, suitable for those with small wrists or those who prioritize minimalism.
Workout tracking: many exercises, accurate GPS

Galaxy Watch8 Classic supports more than 100 different exercises, and is reliable enough in heart rate measurement and GPS reception.

The jogging map in the high-rise building area is very good, not skewed.

The heart rate of the Watch8 Classic is quite similar when compared to the heart rate belt The accuracy of the heart rate sensor is also something I appreciate. When compared to specialized measuring belts and some other sports equipment, the results from the Watch8 Classic are almost always consistent, whether in running, strength training or yoga.

The watch has the Running Coach feature which is quite useful for runners. Just run a 12-minute test and the watch will automatically analyze your base capacity and provide corresponding lesson plans for distances from 5 km to marathon. These plans are not only for reference but can be used practically, as the pace and recommendations are quite reasonable for both amateur runners and those who want to make systematic progress.
Health features: many indicators that other smartwatches do not have

For example, the Antioxidant index allows assessing the level of antioxidants in the body and indirectly reflects whether the diet is healthy or not. The Vascular Load feature monitors the pressure on the vascular system during sleep; If the body has unusual fluctuations such as stress, hormonal imbalance or poor sleep quality, this parameter often fluctuates and gives early warning signs.

AGEs Index was high 6 months ago, and recently dropped to a sufficient level. Another index that I find valuable over a long period of use is the AGEs Index, which is related to sugar levels and the body's aging speed. Six months ago, my index was high, but thanks to regular monitoring and adjusting my diet - exercise - rest, AGEs have decreased to a good level. This is the type of data that makes wearing a smartwatch really useful, because it shows you exactly what positive changes are, not just general information.

Besides, the ability to measure body composition (Body Composition) has always been Samsung's strong point. Measuring your own muscle-fat-water ratio right at home and tracking it weekly or monthly helps you better evaluate the effectiveness of your training. Those of you who often exercise at the gym will be familiar with InBody measuring machines like this one.
Monitor sleep well enough
Watch8 Classic is a fairly comprehensive sleep tracking device. The watch not only records deep sleep, light sleep and wake times, but also calculates a nightly sleep quality score.

However, what I appreciate more is the Bedtime Guidance feature. After wearing the watch for a minimum of three days, the system learns your habits and gives recommendations on optimal bedtime and wake-up time to ensure appropriate sleep duration. It feels like you have a little assistant who always reminds you to keep your sleep discipline, and when you follow it for a long time, the effect is real, not symbolic.
Smart features and power from the Google - Samsung ecosystem
The Galaxy Watch8 Classic runs Wear OS 6, which makes the watch one of the most software-extensible smartwatches available today. Installing apps directly from the Google Play Store makes devices much more flexible than closed ecosystems. I often use Gmail, Google Keep and especially Google Maps.

Google Maps is what I use the most when riding a motorbike. The display interface has two options: map format or left-turn-right navigation style. There are maps on the watch so I won't need to take out my phone when on the road. In general it's ok. The watch also supports replying to emails directly on Gmail, something that smartwatches that don't run Wear OS find difficult to do. Gemini Assistant is a feature I use every day, from turning on the flashlight, starting an exercise, to checking information. You can give Gemini orders in English or Vietnamese like on the phone.
Still a smartwatch worth buying at the present time
After 6 months of continuous wear, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic still proves that this is one of the most comprehensive smartwatch models I have ever used. It is both a true fashion accessory and an in-depth health monitoring device, and has the ability to provide reliable exercise support. Besides, smart features and an open ecosystem help the watch not become outdated quickly, always suitable for Android users in general and Galaxy users in particular. If you need a smartwatch that can accompany you for a long time, Watch8 Classic and Watch8 series in general are completely worthy of consideration. In addition, the Galaxy Watch8 Series in the recent TTBC25 was also selected as the best wearOS Smartwatch. You can see more here.
