Galaxy S26 price decreased by 10 million VND after 4 months of launch

(Dan Tri) - After more than 4 months on shelves, the Galaxy S26 series dropped sharply by up to 10 million VND at many stores. The new price makes the device more accessible, while continuing to boost purchasing power in the market.
S26 selling price dropped sharply, purchasing power showed positive signs
Surveys at many retail systems show that the price of the Galaxy S26 series is continuing to decrease simultaneously after just over 4 months of being on sale.

Specifically, the Galaxy S26 256GB version is currently priced at about 21.5 million VND, 4.5 million VND lower than the listed price. The 512GB version also decreased by about 5 million VND, down to 27 million VND.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a stronger decrease. The 256GB version fluctuates around 30.5 million VND, down 6.5 million VND. Particularly the most advanced version with 1TB memory has a reduction of up to 10 million VND, currently about 42 million VND at many dealers.
Besides, the Galaxy S26 Plus product line also has deep discounts. In particular, the 512GB version is being sold by dealers for about 31 million VND, down to 5 million compared to before.
According to retailers, this is a common period in the high-end phone market when prices are adjusted after the initial launch period to stimulate sales.
Mr. Phan Tran Thanh, Deputy Director of the mobile phone industry at FPT Shop system, said that after the Galaxy S26 Series was adjusted in price, the purchasing power of the product line showed signs of positive growth again.

Hoang Ha Mobile representative also noticed an increase in the number of visitors coming to see and experience the Galaxy S26 Series after the price was adjusted.
Meanwhile, retail chain CellphoneS recorded a growth of up to 30% in Galaxy S26 Series sales compared to the Galaxy S25 series in the same period last year.
"In the context of many flagship models from Chinese brands simultaneously increasing prices, Samsung's price reduction has helped the Galaxy S26 series become a more competitive choice in the high-end segment," a CellphoneS representative shared.
At dealers, with increasing purchasing power, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 256GB still maintains its position as the version most chosen by customers thanks to the balance between capacity, performance and price.
Should I put down money at the present time?
According to observations from retailers, the majority of current Galaxy S26 series buyers are customers upgrading from previous Galaxy generations or high-end Android models that have been used for about 2 to 3 years.
"The main group of buyers is using Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24 or high-end Android models and wants to experience upgrades in performance, AI and cameras on the new generation," shared Mr. Thanh, representative of FPT Shop.

Currently, when prices have decreased, buyers' concerns mainly revolve around the used value of the device in use, the difference between memory versions, accompanying incentive programs and the fear of price drops.
As for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as of July, this is still a comprehensive smartphone and has received more attention than the other two product lines both in the international and Vietnamese markets.
Most notably, Samsung added the exclusive Privacy Display feature on the Ultra version. This mode helps limit people around you from seeing the content displayed on the screen when used in public places.

In practical experience, thanks to the above upgrades, the device smoothly handles almost all tasks from heavy gaming, photo editing, video recording to processing AI features right on the device.
However, the design of the S26 Ultra is generally almost unchanged, making it difficult for S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra users to directly feel the upgrades.
With the two versions Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 plus, the limitation is more obvious.

Overall, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is still a comprehensive high-end phone, suitable for users who need a powerful device, quality camera and large screen for work and entertainment.
For those who are using old Galaxy S series or Android flagship models that have been released for several years, the S26 Ultra is an option worth considering at the present time when the selling price has decreased from 8 to 10 million VND compared to when it was on sale.
