Galaxy Z Fold7 price drops sharply at the end of its life cycle

(Dan Tri) - Entering the final stage of their life cycle, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 duo have their prices adjusted by dealers to clear the way for the next generation to prepare for launch.

Specifically, Galaxy Z Fold7 is being offered for sale at a price of 39 million VND for the 256GB version. Even when looking at smaller-scale stores, users can own devices for prices starting from 37 million VND. This price is 10 million VND lower than the listed price at the time of opening sale.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 model is also adjusted down to 22 million VND for the standard version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. This price is 7 million VND lower than the listed selling price.

Talking to Dan Tri reporter, representative of Hoang Ha Mobile system said that sales of Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 throughout their life cycle have grown by about 20% compared to their predecessors. The same thing was also recorded at many other retail units.

"Sales of Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 increased slightly compared to their predecessors and maintained positive purchasing power for most of their life cycle. Notably, the gap between the technology-loving customer group and the general user group is also gradually narrowing.

This shows that folding phones are no longer a product reserved for pioneering user groups but are gradually expanding the customer base, especially as the usage experience becomes more and more perfect," said Ms. Van Thi Ngoc Yen, deputy product manager at Mobile Vietnam.

Also according to dealers, the supply of the pair of folding phones from Samsung is currently limited. This is also consistent with the product strategy that the company applies in the Vietnamese market.

"Similar to previous years, Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 will soon "retreat behind the scenes" to make room for the upcoming Galaxy Z8 generation. With the amount of inventory in stock and the current sales speed, this duo will be out of stock in about 2-3 months," said Minh Tuan Mobile representative.

According to many leaked sources, the new generation of folding screen phones from Samsung will have 3 versions, including Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8. This product line will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event taking place on July 22.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 version is expected to bring a new design experience with a wider, thinner and lighter design. According to PhoneArena, the device weighs 201g and is 4.5mm thin when opened.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra serves as the most advanced version in the 2026 folding product range. The device has an 8-inch main screen with a 3:2 ratio and a 6.5-inch external secondary screen.

In contrast to the upgrades on the Galaxy Z Fold8 duo, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is almost no different from its predecessor. The device is equipped with Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor depending on the market. Other parameters such as 6.9 inch main screen, 4.1 inch secondary screen, 50MP main camera and 4,300mAh battery are expected to remain unchanged.
