Prices of iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max are about to increase in Vietnam?

(Dan Tri) - In the context of continuously escalating component prices, many users are worried about the possibility that Apple may increase prices for iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max in the near future.
Last week, Apple increased prices for a series of its products, including MacBook, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod and Vision Pro. The increase ranges from 15-30% depending on each version.

"We have never seen component prices increase so much and so quickly. We have tried to protect our customers from price increases. However, the time has come for us to start increasing prices on some products, including iPad and Mac. We know this is not good news and we are working hard to find a solution," Apple said.
iPhone devices were not affected in the recent price adjustment. However, the shortage of components is still happening and is becoming increasingly difficult to control. This makes many users worry about the possibility that Apple may increase prices for iPhones in the near future.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter, a representative of an Apple authorized retail system (AAR) in Vietnam said the company has not yet made any announcements about adjusting the selling price of iPhones in general and the iPhone 17 product line in particular.
"Up to now, Apple has not made any changes in pricing policy for the iPhone industry. In fact, the prices of iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max have remained high since launch. This also reflects part of Apple's strategy in the context of escalating component costs today," he added.

In June 2025, iPhone 16 Pro Max was offered by dealers for about 30 million VND for the standard version, equivalent to a 15% reduction compared to the time of launch. The same thing happened with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max generations when considered over the same time period.
However, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is still sold for 36 million VND. The above price is only 2 million VND lower than the listed price at the time of opening, equivalent to a 5% reduction.
"This is the first year that iPhone prices have changed like this. Currently, it is difficult to make assessments and market fluctuations. We are still continuously monitoring and updating prices from distributors," an AAR representative shared.
