The price of iPhone 17 Pro Max has dropped to its lowest level since it was released in Vietnam

A report from Counterpoint Research said that the iPhone 17 Pro Max was the second best-selling smartphone in the world in the first quarter of 2026. Meanwhile, iPhone 17 is the most popular device.
This is completely opposite to the Vietnamese market. Statistics from dealers show that iPhone 17 Pro Max always accounts for the majority of total device sales in the iPhone industry in Vietnam.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Thanh, deputy director of Apple products at FPT Shop, said that iPhone 17 Pro Max accounts for more than 70% of total iPhone 17 sales in the system.
"In particular, the 256GB version is chosen by the most users with about 80%, followed by the 512GB version accounting for about 15%. The rest belongs to the 1TB and 2TB versions," Mr. Thanh added.
It can be seen that the shopping trends of Vietnamese consumers are still similar to previous years. The 256GB and 512GB memory versions are chosen by many thanks to their accessible prices for most common users.
"The 1TB and 2TB high-capacity versions only account for about 5% of total iPhone 17 Pro Max sales. The price difference between the standard 256GB version and the 1TB or 2TB versions currently fluctuates around 10-15 million VND, creating a significant barrier for most users.
In addition, the popularity of cloud storage services such as iCloud also helps customers have more flexible and cost-effective data storage options. In fact, the majority of users consider 256GB or 512GB capacity to be enough to meet common daily usage needs," said Minh Tuan Mobile representative.
In the high-end segment, iPhone 17 Pro Max currently competes with a number of products such as Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Pro and vivo X300 Pro. Worth mentioning, the product line always maintains stable sales and accounts for a large proportion of the revenue of many agents.
"iPhone is always considered a safe choice for many users in the high-end segment. Many customers upgrade iPhones for the simple reason that Apple launches new products. This causes product sales to always remain stable," a representative of Mobile America shared.
