The purchase price of Galaxy Z Fold8 is ten million VND lower than listed

Excited about the phone with Samsung's new folding screen ratio, but when looking to buy the product, Mr. Truong Xuan (Hung Yen) fell into the price "matrix" with the difference between dealers reaching up to millions of dong. At large systems, most have promotions with a straight discount of 5 million VND, down to 42 million VND. Some parties apply additional programs such as old income to improve life, loyalty members... so it can be further reduced to 39 million VND.

When he went to small retail stores, he was even more surprised when he was able to get all the gifts deducted, helping to reduce the price of the new machine to about 37 million VND. On e-commerce platforms, many stores offer prices of 40-42 million VND, but after applying vouchers from the platform and the seller, Samsung's phone is even just over 36 million VND.

The remaining two folding phone models that Samsung opened for sale on August 8 also have "actual purchase" prices much lower than listed. Specifically, Z Flip8 has 23-24 million VND while it announced 32 million VND. The most advanced version Z Fold8 Ultra can be purchased for about 43 million VND, 10 million VND lower than the official price. Thanks to that, the amount of money spent to own Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 is not much different from the previous generation.

According to a representative of CellphoneS, the highlight this year is the completely new proportional version Z Fold8, which is popular with users. The system recorded sales of 1,100 machines in the first three days, an increase of 70% over the same period last year. The distribution ratio between the three lines is also very different when Z Fold8 accounts for 60%, Z Fold8 Ultra is 35% and Z Flip8 is 5%.

Samsung Vietnam said the number of orders for folding phones is 2.4 times more than the previous generation, of which Galaxy Z Fold8 accounts for more than half. In the first 24 hours of sale and delivery, the company recorded a 52% increase in total orders for Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra compared to Z Fold7 in the same period last year.

In the Korean market, the 2026 Galaxy Z generation received a total of 1.44 million orders, exceeding the record of 1.38 million units that the Galaxy Note10 set in 2019, and higher than the 1.35 million units of the Galaxy S26 at the beginning of the year or the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 with 1.04 million units ordered before launching in 2025.

Galaxy Z8 Series launched in London at the Unpacked 2026 event on July 22. In the Vietnamese market, the device will be available to users from August 8.

Galaxy Z Fold8 is the line that attracts the most attention when it first uses a more square screen ratio, with a 7.6-inch 4:3 main screen, and a 5.5-inch 10:16 external screen. The device is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chip, but there is only one version with 12 GB RAM and maximum internal memory of 1 TB.

Meanwhile, Z Fold8 Ultra is the most advanced version, with 6.5-inch external and 8-inch internal screens, running Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chip, more configuration options, including 12 GB RAM, 256/512 GB internal memory and 16 GB RAM, 1 TB internal memory. The device has a 5,000 mAh battery, 600 mAh higher than the previous generation despite no change in size. Fast charging power increased to 45 W.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 clamshell folding phone has a design not much different from the Z Flip7, but the screen is improved to limit folds. The device is equipped with Exynos 2600 chip, has two configuration versions of 12 GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB internal memory.
