Google and partners promote practical AI applications in Vietnam through the AI Riser 2026 initiative
On October 8, 2026, Google organized the forum "Strengthening with Google AI" in City. Ho Chi Minh. The event gathered nearly 500 delegates including local government representatives, research community, programmers, students and content creators across the country.
Here, the organizers shared and demonstrated 10 practical artificial intelligence projects developed by Vietnamese people, aiming to bring AI into economic and social life.
The focus of the event is the Demo Day performance of the AI Riser Vietnam 2026 initiative. The program introduces practical solutions with a high degree of localization, built on the Google AI Studio platform. Throughout its activities, the AI Riser Vietnam initiative has attracted more than 10,000 participants and received 750 practical application projects.
From the 10 typical projects selected for presentation, the organizing committee honored the top 3 projects most loved by the audience:
The first project is Banh Thi Ngoc Truc's Right Place, which supports looking up health insurance benefits, referral regulations and estimating medical examination and treatment costs.
The second project is Project InnoVerse by Nguyen Minh Hoang, automating the process of evaluating capital call documents and integrating an AI voice assistant to simulate working sessions with investment funds.
The third project is Pham Van Manh's SightBridge AI, combining computer vision and the Gemini model to warn of obstacles through vibration, and recognize bus numbers or signs in Vietnamese voice for the visually impaired.
Besides, the program also recorded many other notable solutions. The My Book application helps teachers in disadvantaged areas convert lesson plan photos into printable worksheets in 90 seconds. HiLuat acts as a legal assistant for small eateries. ScamLens helps users identify online scams from message photos.
