Google launches Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL with Tensor G6 chip, powerful upgraded camera

Google was supposed to launch the Pixel 11 Series at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow (August 13), but tonight at 10:00 p.m. (August 12) Vietnam time, Google has already released all media channels. Therefore, we consider it official to have Pixel 11 and all the recent speculations are correct.

Google has just officially introduced the trio of Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, marking the 11th generation of Pixel with comprehensively improved hardware, an upgraded camera system and a more proactive Gemini assistant, all powered by the new Google Tensor G6 chip.

HiLight design for 2 Pro versions, the regular version has a camera island that reduces the thickness by 40%.

In terms of design, all three devices have edge-to-edge glass covering the Pixel's signature camera bar. As for Pixel 11, the thickness of the camera bar is reduced by up to 40% compared to the previous generation, making the device almost free of camera edges when installing a genuine Made by Google case. When placed flat, it won't wobble.

The device has a bright Actua screen, satin metal frame and glossy glass back, reinforced to resist scratches and impacts in daily use. Pixel 11 launched in 4 colors: Pistachio, Hibiscus, Frost and Obsidian.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL have 4 colors: Canyon, Fog, Olive and Obsidian. Particularly Obsidian color on the 2 Pro versions will have a rough metal frame.

A notable new feature on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL is the HiLight feature, which uses an LED strip around the camera flash to announce important information without having to look at the screen. When users give Gemini commands, the lights flash in different patterns to indicate whether the machine is listening, processing or responding.

With incoming calls, users can assign individual colors to each important contact, helping to not miss essential information while still focusing on work. Google said it will continue to add more features to HiLight in the near future, including message notifications from favorite contacts.

Regarding the battery, only the Pixel 11 increased its capacity, from 4,970mAh to 4,985mAh, while the Pixel 11 Pro slightly decreased from 4,870mAh to 4,850mAh and the Pro XL decreased from 5,200mAh to 5,115mAh. The wire charging speed remains the same at 30W for Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro, reaching 50% battery after 30 minutes, Pixel 11 Pro XL charges 45W, reaching 75% battery after 30 minutes, faster than 70% of Pixel 10 Pro XL. All three devices support the new Qi2.2 wireless charging standard, 25W speed, and have built-in Pixelsnap magnets to attach charging docks and accessories.

Configuration

All three devices run the Google Tensor G6 chip, of which the two Pro versions have an additional Titan M3 co-processor security chip. Tensor G6 has a 7-core processor structure including 1 Arm C1-Ultra core clocked at 4.1GHz, 4 C1-Pro cores clocked at 3.3GHz and 2 C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.6GHz, accompanied by a PowerVR C-series GPU with 6 graphics processing blocks.

These CPU cores support the SME2 standard for faster and more efficient AI processing without the need to use a separate TPU acceleration block. Google says Tensor G6 is up to 20% more energy efficient, speeds up web surfing 25% and opens apps 15% faster than the previous generation, with a 50% more powerful TPU and twice the memory bandwidth, making AI features up to 3.5 times faster and up to 3.5 times more energy efficient when combined with the latest Gemini Nano. Except for the Fold, the devices also have an upgraded ISP with a custom engine, supporting 4K portrait video recording for the first time on the Pixel line. Regarding RAM and storage, Pixel 11 has 12GB RAM/256GB and 12GB/512GB versions. Pixel 11 Pro has three options: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. Pixel 11 Pro XL also has three similar levels: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB.
