Image of Honda UC3 electric motorbike just opened for sale: Fancy design, good finishing, price from 56.5 million VND

The first Honda UC3s have been officially delivered to customers in the Vietnamese market. This is a completely new line of two-wheeled electric vehicles that has just been opened for sale by Honda Vietnam, aiming to be able to replace gasoline cars thanks to its engine power and solid frame system. Honda UC3 is equipped with an engine block with a capacity of 6 kW, torque of 22 Nm, giving a maximum speed of 82 km/h. Included is an LFP battery pack with a capacity of 3,174 kWh, which helps the car travel a distance of 120 km after each full charge (according to the manufacturer's announcement). In addition, the car has a 1,200W charger according to CHAdeMO standard, capable of charging from 20% to 80% in 2 hours, and fully charging from 0% to 100% in 4 hours.

This model has the design style of Urban maxi-scooters with high handlebars, upright sitting position and comfortable legroom. The overall shape of the car is elongated and neatly tapered towards the rear of the car. In fact, UC3 is quite large in size, similar to many familiar Honda gasoline scooter models such as PCX, SH Mode or Air Blade.

Honda equips the UC3 with 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels, with integrated disc brakes with CBS technology at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

The control area features a 5-inch TFT screen, Bluetooth support and Honda RoadSync connectivity feature.

The saddle is designed to be large, with enough comfortable space for two adults. Below is the trunk with a capacity of up to 26 liters. The reason for this spacious storage space is thanks to the battery pack being arranged under the car floor, completely not taking up space in the trunk.

Honda UC3 uses an engine block with direct drive (Direct Drive) to minimize energy waste and eliminate intermediate transmission details. This electric motor also integrates energy regeneration when decelerating or braking. During actual operation, the system will create natural braking force, bringing a deceleration feeling very close to that of internal combustion engine vehicles. Besides, UC3 is also equipped with a reverse gear feature. In case of necessity, users can activate this mode to reverse the vehicle with an electric motor at a slow speed, ensuring safety in many usage conditions.

In addition to expanding the product range of two-wheeled electric vehicles, Honda Vietnam is also expanding accompanying services such as battery exchange systems (for other vehicle models) and large capacity charging stations to more easily meet a variety of user needs.

The driving modes on the UC3 show a very clear difference. To get the most powerful and exciting experience when operating, the driver can choose Sport mode. On the contrary, Eco mode will limit power and have more delay on the throttle to minimize excess energy in throttle turns, optimizing travel distance.

Honda UC3 is currently being distributed with a starting price of 56.5 million VND for the standard version. This is not a small number for a two-wheeled vehicle in general. To be fair, the UC3 is not too superior in terms of technological equipment, nor is it too superior in terms of travel distance or electric engine capacity. The difference of this model comes from the "guarantee" of the Honda brand, accompanied by a good level of product finishing and a sturdy frame even when operating at high speeds. Surely UC3 will face a lot of competitive pressure in the above price segment. However, for customers looking for a truly long-term vehicle, believing in Honda's trademark durability and safety, or even considering future liquidity value, this will still be an option worth considering.
