The highlight lies in the Titanium Agile Gimbal cluster: a 4 DoF mini manipulator, allowing the camera to move in pan, tilt, roll and flip directions. HONOR said that the gimbal's load-bearing structure uses titanium alloy, while the folding motor is arranged with 43 components in a space of 0.5 cm3.

The gimbal system can automatically track subjects during livestreams or video calls. Users can double-tap on the subject to lock tracking, or select a location in the frame for the camera to automatically maintain composition as the subject moves.

Configuration & battery

HONOR Robot Phone uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 manufactured on a 3 nm process. HONOR announced that this platform's CPU has a maximum clock speed of 4.6 GHz, accompanied by Adreno 840 GPU.

Connectivity is supported by the HONOR Hongyan Communication system with a 6-antenna design. HONOR says this solution helps reduce stutter and lag rates during long livestreams, although actual effectiveness will depend on usage conditions.

Software

Robot Phone runs MagicOS, with YOYO as the central AI assistant. YOYO Pro Mode allows performing tasks on command, including creating custom skills to control or connect to third-party devices. YOYO Robot Mode is a feature that differentiates the product. When activated, the gimbal can move with music, respond to a number of gestures such as waving, heart symbols or thumbs up, and display corresponding expressions on the screen.

Camera Agent allows users to use voice commands to capture, record, edit and share content. Some Camera Agent features will be added via OTA updates. HONOR has not announced the price, opening date or memory versions of Robot Phone. The global product page currently shows purchase options but no specific price. HONOR has not confirmed plans to bring Robot Phone to the Vietnamese market. Although the global product page supports Vietnamese region selection in Vietnamese, this is not an official distribution announcement. With high-end configuration, complex mechanical gimbal system and filming features aimed at content creators, HONOR Robot Phone will likely belong to the special flagship product group if introduced by the company in Vietnam.
