Huawei launched the Mate XT 2 triple-folding screen phone

(Dan Tri) - Huawei has just launched Mate
Huawei Mate XT 2 was introduced in China on September 7, as the third generation in the company's triple-folding screen smartphone line, after Mate XT and Mate XTs. The product has a new design, switching from a "Z" folding mechanism to an inward folding style.
When closed, Mate XT 2 uses a 6.5-inch external screen like a regular smartphone. When fully opened, the device has a 10.2-inch screen with 3K resolution, supporting a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The new design helps the main screen be better protected when the device is in a folded state.

The Mate XT 2 has a thickness of 3.5mm when fully opened and a weight of 299g. Huawei also improved the hinge mechanism to increase durability and ability to open and close the device. The product supports dust and water resistance according to IP58/IP59 standards.

One of the notable points on the Mate XT 2 is the hardware anti-peeping screen option. This technology uses a dual pixel design, narrowing the viewing angle of the screen when private mode is activated.
When viewed from the front, the content is still displayed normally, while people viewing from a different angle will have difficulty observing the content on the screen. This feature is only equipped on the most advanced version of Mate XT 2.
Huawei said this is the first time the company has integrated hardware anti-peeping technology on a triple-folding screen smartphone.

In terms of configuration, Mate XT 2 uses the Kirin 9050 Pro chip developed by Huawei. According to Huawei, the performance of the new chip increased by about 42% compared to the Kirin 9030 Pro on the previous generation.
The device has 16GB RAM, comes with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB memory options.
The rear camera system is placed in a large octagonal cluster, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom, and a multi-spectral camera for color reproduction.
The front camera on both the external screen and the main screen has a resolution of 8 megapixels.
Mate XT 2 is equipped with a 5,600mAh battery, supporting 66W fast wired charging. The device runs HarmonyOS 7 and integrates Huawei's artificial intelligence features.
