IFA26: Take a tour of the Dreame booth - Make everything from climbing robots to cameras

Walking around the Dreame booth at IFA 2026, I was really surprised by the speed of this brand's expansion. A few years ago, when mentioning Dreame, we immediately thought of handheld vacuum cleaners or robot vacuum cleaners that were easily accessible.

But entering this year in Berlin, Dreame almost set up a giant technology supermarket with all kinds of devices, from stair-climbing robots, washing machines, refrigerators, pet supplies to even 3D printers and action cameras. The way they continuously launch new products and mechanical innovations at breakneck speed shows that traditional household brands will be under extreme competitive pressure.

CyberX stair climbing robot and Cyber 10 Ultra arm robot

The item that impresses me most in terms of mechanical ideas is the CyberX stair climbing robot system. Normally, in multi-storey houses in Vietnam, using a robot vacuum cleaner is very lazy because you have to manually carry the machine from the ground floor to the first and second floors.

Dreame solves this problem by creating a mobile platform that resembles a transit ferry. This ferry is equipped with four crawler-like moving legs like a tank or a chainsaw, which can cling tightly to each corner of the stairs to crawl up and down smoothly.

After cleaning a floor, the robot vacuum cleaner will automatically run into this ferry to be transported to the next floors to continue working. I find this approach very smart because the two devices operate independently. Anyone who already has a robot from the company can just buy an additional ferry to climb the stairs and be done without having to throw away the old machine.

Right next to it is the Cyber 10 Ultra robot model that integrates a mechanical arm that can reach up to pick up messy objects on the floor or assist in cleaning. Although these items are mainly intended to show off future technology, it shows that Dreame is not afraid to test new ideas to free up human labor.

Aqua 20 Pro Ultra Roller Complete and X60 Pro Ultra Matrix rag exchange station

In the traditional robot vacuum cleaner segment, Dreame offers the flagship model Aqua 20 Pro Ultra Roller Complete with a rolling rag cluster instead of two rotating discs. This roller assembly rotates at a speed of 300 revolutions per minute to wash itself continuously while running, creating a force of 18 Newtons on the floor and possessing a suction force of up to 40,000 Pa. Personally, I think this type of roller that automatically flushes clean water and scrapes dirt in real time is much superior to the turntable, because it never drags dirty water from one room to another.

Next to that is the X60 Pro Ultra Matrix with a feature that I find extremely practical: the charging station is equipped with three separate rag systems corresponding to three different cleaning chemical compartments. When the robot runs out to clean the greasy kitchen, it will use a set of rags and specialized solution. When entering the living room or bedroom, it will automatically return to the station to change to another set of rags. This automatic rag exchange mechanism completely solves the problem of cross-contamination between living areas in the house, something that few machines on the market today can do.

T16 Pro Steame mop series: 200 degree Celsius hot steam and Tango Cut hair cutting mechanism

Moving to the handheld floor vacuum cleaner segment, Dreame introduces the T16 Pro Steam system with a series of powerful upgrades in temperature and anti-tangle structure. Most notable is the technology to create hot steam up to 200 degrees Celsius with a flow of 3,000 mg per minute. With such high temperatures, the machine can completely clean kitchen grease stains and kill up to 99.999% of bacteria without having to spend money on buying specialized floor cleaner.

The device also has a SmartSwap mechanism that allows quick removal and exchange between two types of rollers: one specialized for cleaning hard floors and one specifically designed for vacuuming carpets, conveniently switched with just the press of a button. In order to overcome the problem of cleaning the edge of the wall, the machine has a robot arm that sticks out to rub the base of the wall.

In addition, the Tango Cut blade integrated inside will actively cut off long strands of hair or pet hair tangled in the shaft to suck straight into the trash box, helping us not have to sit with scissors to cut tangled hair like previous models. The T16 Ultra Heat version also supports hot water rag washing at the charging station and hot water supply directly to the floor. The thin body is easy to slide under.

Pet supplies, service robots and Water Cooling systems

Not stopping at cleaning floors, Dreame's booth also expanded into Smart Pet pet care with automatic toilet equipment and cat toys.

They also bring specialized service robot models equipped with rolling wheels and grasping arms, aimed at serving at hotels or automatic laundry rooms to support putting things into washing machines and taking clothes out.

In the air equipment area, the MF20 Pro cooling fan is curious with Water Cooling technology combined with convection airflow. However, from my perspective, this steam fan may not be too suitable for the humid weather in Vietnam because it easily increases the humidity in closed rooms.

Meanwhile, the personal care segment has a boldly designed shaver, water flosser and facial care devices, proving that the company wants to cover the entire daily life of users.

Dive into 3D printers, kitchen appliances and action cameras

Going deeper into the large home appliance display area, Dreame shows that they can make modern refrigerators, washer dryers and a full set of kitchen appliances from coffee makers, blenders to stoves.

Most unique is the appearance of multi-color 3D printing machines that support 4 to 6 rolls of material at the same time and UV printers that apply color directly to objects.

The biggest surprise for me was that Dreame introduced the Leaptic Cube action camera as compact as a lipstick, competing directly with models from DJI or Insta360, along with mirrorless gimbal camera concept models that can mount from one to two lenses with large sensors.

A company specializing in vacuum cleaners jumping into making anti-vibration cameras may seem a bit out of the industry, but with many years of experience making carbon brush motors and anti-vibration systems on handheld devices, I think this is a calculated step to perfect the imaging ecosystem.

After looking at the entire Dreame booth at this year's IFA, I found that the dynamism of Chinese technology companies is undeniable. They are willing to listen to the market, not afraid to experiment from stair-climbing ferries to gimbal-mounted cameras to bring the most comfortable experience to users. Which Dreame toy are you most impressed with in this exhibition?
