IFA26: Dreame launches Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller robot Twitter Complete: 180-degree mopping, 40,000 Pa suction force
These past few days, following smart home appliances, I saw that Dreame's Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller Twitter Complete vacuum cleaning robot has some rather strange mechanical equipment. Instead of just using regular hot water to wash rags or mop the floor like most robots today, the company puts a 180-degree high-temperature steam system straight onto the roll mop assembly.
Mop the floor with a combination of 180 degree steam and hot water
The Dual High-Temp Steam Mopping mechanism on this machine creates steam very quickly, spraying 180 degree Celsius steam directly onto the floor in each designated area, in parallel with providing hot water for the cleaning roller. For families who often cook, grease or dried sauce stains stuck to the kitchen floor are often a difficult problem for robots that use rotating rags. Using high heat steam combined with real-time hot water will help soften stains much faster. However, I think this 180-degree heat flow will require users to check whether their floor is ceramic tile or a heat-sensitive wooden floor before operating the machine.
The roller protrudes 8cm and the double step climbing mechanism is 10cm
Mechanically, Dreame upgrades the roller assembly with double slider-mounted MopExtend technology. This rolling assembly can extend to the right up to 8cm and is guided by the bars against the floor, helping the machine hug the wall base 90 degrees, 5-spoke swivel chair legs or kitchen cabinet leg slots that conventional round robots often miss.
The next point that impresses me is the ability to overcome ProLeap obstacles. The machine can climb over double steps with a total height of up to 10cm, the structure consists of two consecutive 5cm steps, instead of only being able to overcome thin door edges of about 2cm like before. If your house has a slightly stepped living room or a stone ledge separating floor areas, this feature will minimize the possibility of the robot getting stuck and then standing still waiting for someone to rescue it.
OmniSight 4.0 artificial intelligence recognizes more than 320 objects
For navigation, the machine uses the AI-Enhanced OmniSight 4.0 vision system and RL2.0 obstacle avoidance algorithm. Dreame announced that the machine can recognize more than 320 different types of objects in the house, from electrical wires to children's toys, and uses reinforcement learning to automatically optimize the arc-shaped path over time, reducing repetitive trips or missing areas.
Overall, I see that the Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller Twitter Complete is a very ambitious machine in terms of mechanics, cramming in both hot steam and a complex sliding and climbing mechanism. However, the durability of moving parts when exposed to high temperatures and continuous steam will be something that needs time to be tested in practice.
