IFA26: ECOVACS launches DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone
Surfing the information at IFA 2026, I saw that ECOVACS had just announced the newest vacuum cleaning robot DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone. At a time when other brands are competing to show off suction power of up to 30,000 Pa, I like the way ECOVACS chooses a more practical direction: focusing on completely handling fine dust and dust mites in carpets, upgrading the charging dock without using paper bags and adding a mechanical camera cover to protect privacy.

The point I appreciate most about this X12S is the way the company invests in carpet cleaning. Instead of just gliding lightly over the surface, the machine uses a suction mouth with guide wheels that press firmly against each carpet fiber. The suction force is increased to 27,000 Pa with a capacity of 53 Air Watts, on par with many handheld vacuums. According to certification from SGS, the machine removes more than 97% of dust mite allergens deep in carpet fibers, and comes with a ZeroTangle 4.0 main brush to prevent hair tangles.
Self-cleaning roller, FocusJet spray and bagless cyclone charging station
Regarding floor cleaning ability, the OZMO Roller 3.0 roller assembly is equipped with 32 continuous clean water nozzles to rinse and remove dirt while mopping, without worrying about dragging dirt from one room to another. When carpet is detected, the roller raises itself 15 mm and has a smart lid that covers the wet rag. The AI camera combined with the FocusJet feature can identify stubborn stains such as fresh water or dry mud to proactively spray softener solution before passing through.
The OmniCyclone charging station uses a 1.6-liter cyclone dust compartment without using paper bags, collecting trash for about 48 days before needing to be emptied. The station supports washing and drying rags with hot water, self-washing trays and, for the first time, has the feature of heating the dirty water tank on a schedule to eliminate residual odors. In addition, GaN fast charging technology allows charging an additional 13% of the battery in just 3 minutes when the robot returns to wash rags.
In the US, the device has a listed price of 1,299 USD and has an opening sale price of about 1,000 USD. I find this to be a very practical upgrade of the X12 line, perfecting the carpet cleaning experience and eliminating the need to replace costly dust bags. How do you see these changes of ECOVACS?
