IFA26: SKINARMA case for folding iPhone on hand: Has a rotating ring as a base

Walking around the Skinarma booth at IFA 2026, I was quite surprised to see that they had already displayed a series of cases specifically for the upcoming folding screen iPhone. Although Apple has not yet officially introduced the device to the public, accessory makers have quickly completed moldings to get ahead very early.

Two-piece design and MagSafe ring that doubles as a multi-purpose stand

Trying the case in my hand, I saw that Skinarma chose to divide it into two separate pieces. The small piece on the left is used to cover the frame protecting the front secondary screen, while the large piece on the right will cover the entire back of the device. This design reminds me of when Samsung first launched the first generation Galaxy Fold, protective accessories at that time were often made in two halves clamped together like that.

The point I like the most is the MagSafe ring with a built-in axial rotation mechanism on the back. This metal ring can both be used to hold wireless chargers and can also be opened as a stand to prop the device on the table.

When you put the device in folding mode or extend the entire screen, this ring holds the device horizontally very firmly, only when rotating it vertically it is a bit wobbly. The version I'm holding in my hand has only been tested with a dummy model machine, so the fit is not really up to standard. Personally, I feel that wearing a case on a folding phone will certainly make the device thicker and somewhat less elegant, but to avoid the risk of impact on an expensive device, it is understandable to trade thinness for safety.

Kevlar fiber mix and smoke-colored clear plastic version

In addition to the standard transparent case model, Skinarma also offers a finished version made from a special fiber material, the criss-cross pattern looks very similar to the sturdy and expensive Kevlar fiber. This back is accentuated with small, sharp printed words that represent the familiar street style of this brand.

In addition, the company also has a version made of clear plastic but dipped in smoky blue tones. This color actually looks quite cool, not only does it show off the back of the device but also helps reduce the monotonous feeling compared to regular transparent plastic cases, and also helps prevent stains from showing after a period of use.

Mold-making accessories companies are always very quick to welcome new products. The real machines have not yet hit the shelves, but the toys are already filling the shelves. If you use a folding phone in the future, will you prefer to use it naked or will you choose to wear a thick case like this?
