I was at the Roborock booth at IFA 2026, and the Saros 20 Flow Complete vacuum cleaning robot caught my attention the most. This generation, the company has used roller-shaped rag clusters. Personally, I always prefer the roller mechanism over the rotating disc, because it solves the problem of continuously washing rags and collects dirt more neatly during operation.

The core change on this machine lies in the SpiraFlow 2.0 roller assembly. When the robot operates, the roller rotates at a speed of 240 revolutions per minute, which means the rag surface is washed 240 times per minute. The machine body is equipped with 16 microscopic water nozzles that continuously supply clean water to the roller, while a mechanical wiper will recover all dirty water and residue into a separate tray on the machine body.

This method overcomes the biggest drawback of traditional rotating rag or vibrating cleaning robots, which is dragging stains from one room to another. Dirty water and food debris are removed immediately, keeping the rag surface always clean for continued wiping.

In addition, the roller creates a force of about 15N on the floor, strong enough to scrub away stuck stains without scratching the floor. When encountering carpet, the roller assembly can lift itself up to 15 mm and has a mechanical cover that automatically closes to cover the wet rag, completely eliminating the worry of dampening the carpet.

Ultra-thin body of 8.98 cm thanks to retractable radar and 8.8 cm ledge climbing legs

In terms of appearance, the Saros 20 Flow Complete impresses with its thinness of only about 8.98 cm. To achieve this thinness, Roborock has redesigned the LDS radar tower cluster in a flexible retractable form. When running normally or getting under the bed or sofa, the radar cluster will automatically lower to the body. Thanks to that, the machine can wriggle deep into low hidden corners that robots with fixed radar towers often have to give up.

Another mechanical detail that I find extremely valuable for real homes is the two-level lifting wheel system. This leg mechanism allows the robot to climb over ledges up to 8.8 cm high.

36,000 Pa suction force, AI camera and 100 degree Celsius hot water RockDock station

Regarding dust extraction ability, the machine achieves suction power parameters of up to 36,000 Pa. Although I'm not too fond of the capacity numbers on paper, this level of suction power combined with the ability to compress dust will make vacuuming fine dust under wooden floor grooves or thick carpets very gentle. The AI ​​camera system combined with structured lights can identify more than 300 different obstacles in the home to avoid electrical wires and toys, while also integrating pet-friendly features and receiving direct voice commands.

The included RockDock charging station is also fully upgraded by supporting roller washing with 100 degrees Celsius hot water to dissolve cooking grease, then drying with hot air to prevent mold. The station takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the robot's battery, enough to clean a floor area of ​​about 200 m².

In the European market, Saros 20 Flow Complete has a list price of about 1,499 Euro. This is clearly the price of the high-end flagship segment, but with the change to self-washing rollers, climbing ledges nearly 9 cm high and charging stations for washing with boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius, I see that Roborock is very successfully solving the most practical troubles of users.
