Besides, the company is also expected to introduce a new, smarter Siri virtual assistant. However, users may not be able to experience this virtual assistant soon. According to Bloomberg, the new version of Siri is currently labeled "test" and "preview" internally at the company.

"Apple has labeled the new Siri as a test version. That means this virtual assistant will not be announced as complete software when released later this year. Users may have to join a waiting list to experience new features," this source revealed.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will make many design changes related to Siri on iOS 27. Siri virtual assistant is being developed by Apple into a chatbot to compete with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

When Siri is activated, a pill animation displays on the Dynamic Island area. Users can ask questions or assign tasks to this virtual assistant. The results will be returned as an iMessage-like conversation.

Besides, Apple is also designing a standalone application so users can chat with Siri. This application will allow users to review previous chats and start new chats.

The main interface will display a rectangular grid with a summary of previous conversations. The app also supports uploading images and documents. Additionally, users can voice or text input to Siri.

Siri will be set to be the default chatbot for the search bar. However, users can still choose other chatbots to chat, such as ChatGPT or Gemini.

Some previously leaked sources revealed that Apple will directly integrate virtual assistant Siri into the Camera application. According to a report from MacRumors, the Camera app on iOS 27 may add a separate Siri mode, working in parallel with the familiar photo, video, or portrait modes.

When this mode is activated, the Camera interface will change, with the camera button being replaced by an icon related to Apple's artificial intelligence system, signaling that the device is ready for smart features.
