iPhone 18 Pro may no longer be black

"Leak expert" Sonny Dickson, one of the sources considered reputable for sharing a lot of accurate information about Apple products, posted a photo of the sim tray that is believed to belong to the iPhone 18 Pro. The image shows three color options including silver, cherry red and sky blue.

According to MacRumors, Dickson's move is to refute previous information from the Fixed Focus Digital account on Weibo that the iPhone 18 Pro will come in three colors: blue, black and dark red, while silver is unlikely to appear.

Last year, Apple also reduced the number of colors on the iPhone 17 Pro to three versions: orange, silver and dark blue. This is also the first time the Pro line does not have a black or dark gray version.

If the information from Sonny Dickson is correct, Apple is continuing to maintain its policy of not using black. Although he shared the black iPhone 18 Pro model in May, this person said that black models are often produced every year, but that does not mean Apple chooses to include them in commercial versions.

On the contrary, if the information from Fixed Focus Digital is correct, Apple will remove the silver color, a familiar option that has been associated with high-end phones since the iPhone 11 Pro. However, technology sites say the lack of silver is a strange move, unless the company considers the blue version to be a replacement for bright tones.

The exact answer will be given at the "Surprise and Shine" event taking place on September 9. Besides iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, Apple plans to launch its first folding screen phone model called iPhone Ultra.
