The folding iPhone can come in two colors

Famous "rumor expert" Sonny Dickson posted images of two models of camera protection cases said to be for folding iPhones (possibly named iPhone Ultra), with two color options. Dickson is considered a reputable leak source because he shared a lot of accurate information about the models and accessories of Apple devices before launch.

Previously, in May, some sources said that the iPhone Ultra is expected to have a traditional silver color version combined with a white back, in addition to an option similar to the dark blue tone of the iPhone 17 Pro. By June, information from the supply chain showed that silver was the first official color, with the second choice favoring a dark color but not black.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max duo are expected to have a more diverse color range. In addition to silver, the device is likely to add two new colors: dark red and light blue. A black color option was considered, but reports later suggested that Apple had scrapped the color.

Analysts say that limiting colors on the iPhone Ultra is a reasonable step. Apple's first folding screen product line has a complex production process and expensive component costs, so the company will prioritize focusing on safe, highly identifiable color tones before expanding the color palette in future generations.

In addition to colors, the accessory image also shows the design of the Ultra's rear camera cluster. Unlike the familiar square or triangular camera cluster, the device has a horizontal camera strip consisting of two lenses, with a pill-shaped flash and Lidar sensor.

Apple plans to announce the first folding iPhone model in early September with an estimated price of $2,300, along with the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max duo.
