Foldable iPhone may be late

"The fourth quarter of this year will be busier than previous years due to customers' new product plans. Some new products will be launched in the third quarter and others will be postponed until early next year," said Lin En-ping, CEO of Largan Precision, Apple's component supply partner.

Another important feature for developers is "App Adaptability". This feature encourages developers to build interfaces that can switch between different screen sizes and ratios.

These changes are specifically designed to serve a device with a flexible display area and can change shape like the iPhone Fold.

This is the first time the iOS operating system directly mentioned the existence of a folding screen iPhone. The appearance of official support code in the operating system shows that the time for Apple to enter the folding phone market may be very close.

It is expected that the folding iPhone will have a screen of about 7.8 inches when opened. This size is equivalent to the screen on the iPad mini model. The selfie camera will be placed in the upper left corner of the screen.

Previously leaked information confirmed that the device will not support the Face ID facial recognition system. Instead, the device integrates Touch ID fingerprint recognition through the side button to unlock the device and use Apple Pay.
