Foldable iPhone revealed before launch date
(Dan Tri) - Folding screen iPhone (possibly named iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra) and the iPhone 18 Pro duo will be introduced by Apple on September 8. The next backup plan may be September 9.
In a post on the social network Twitter, the Ice Universe account shared some images of screen protectors for foldable iPhones. Previously, the Ice Universe account was known for regularly revealing accurate leaked information about Apple products.

This image confirms the asymmetrical design on the outer screen of the folding iPhone. Accordingly, the two corners on the left edge of the hinge area will be beveled flat and square. The screen on the right edge will be curved at both the top and bottom corners.
This design matches the leaked information about Apple's first folding screen iPhone in many months. At the same time, the screen protector also shows the proportions and shape of the secondary screen on the outside.
This sticker also has a perforated section in the upper left corner. Most likely, this is the location of the selfie camera. It is expected that the folding iPhone will integrate Touch ID fingerprint sensor security instead of the Face ID facial recognition system. Therefore, the front camera area is only relatively small in size.
According to MacRumors, the folding iPhone will have a screen of about 7.8 inches when unfolded. This size is equivalent to the screen on the iPad mini model. The selfie camera will be placed in the upper left corner of the screen.
The device's external screen is 5.5 inches in size. This screen has a shorter and more square ratio than current iPhones. This design is similar to the design of a passport.

These panels are expected to use Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) technology, along with Samsung Display's latest M16 OLED material set. The M16 material structure promises improvements in brightness, color performance, longevity and energy efficiency compared to previous generations.
In a post on social network Weibo, Digital Chat Station account said that the folding screen iPhone will be equipped with 2 batteries. The rated battery capacity of these two batteries is 1,921mAh and 2,962mAh respectively. Accordingly, the total battery capacity of the device reaches 4,883mAh.
This dual battery design is suitable for smartphone models with horizontal folding screens. Compared to competitors on the market, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold has a total battery capacity of 5,015mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a capacity of 4,400mAh.
