iPhone Twitter becomes an 'outdated' product

Besides the iPhone Twitter, the list updated by Apple on August 14 also includes the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2018 version. These devices will stop being provided with all hardware repair services and replacement components at Apple Stores as well as authorized networks globally, putting an end to the device's life cycle in the Apple ecosystem.
iPhone Twitter was launched in November 2017, a decade after the first iPhone model was launched in 2007. Although it is a generation after the iPhone 8, Apple skipped the usual name iPhone 9 to emphasize the "10th" year of the iPhone. The company then released upgraded and expanded lines such as iPhone Xs, Xr, Xs Max before returning to the current method of naming by number.

Typically, Apple classifies a product as "obsolete" 7 years after it stopped distributing it. iPhone Twitter stopped selling in September 2018 and is one of the few products with extended support period than usual. The company often does this with important and iconic products, like the iPhone 5 which also gets nearly 6 more years of support.
iPhone Twitter is considered one of the most groundbreaking iPhone models. The product for the first time uses an OLED panel with thin screen borders on all four sides, except for the area for the front camera and facial recognition system. The technology of bending the bottom edge of the screen to achieve thinness was one of the topics most talked about by analysts after the phone launched.
Along with the edge-to-edge design, iPhone Twitter also removes the Home button - an iconic feature of the previous iPhone. The company replaced it with a Face ID sensor with a faster and more secure unlocking experience than contemporary facial recognition solutions.

Some sources say Apple may also skip the "iPhone 19" name to launch the iPhone 20 in 2027 for the 20th anniversary. The device is expected to have many design breakthroughs such as a four-sided curved screen and an under-screen Face ID system.
