Jaecoo J5 accepts deposits in Vietnam, expected price from 569 million VND
Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam has just opened a deposit acceptance program for the 5-seat SUV Jaecoo J5, from July 10 to August 31, 2026. This is the company's next strategic car model in Vietnam, targeting young customers and modern families, and is the company's first domestic car model to introduce three engine options at the same time: gasoline (ICE), hybrid (SHS-H) and pure electric (BEV). The car has four versions: J5 Premium, J5 SHS-H Premium, J5 SHS-H Flagship and J5 BEV Flagship, with prices announced during the deposit receipt period not exceeding 569 million, 629 million and 699 million VND respectively (two Flagship versions have the same price).
Jaecoo J5 is a 5-seat high-riding car model, with dimensions of 4,380 x 1,860 x 1,650 mm, wheelbase of 2,620 mm, Jaecoo's signature square body, luggage compartment and quite spacious interior. Ground clearance for the BEV version is 184 mm, the gasoline and SHS-H versions are 176 mm.
From the ICE Premium version, the car has a multi-point independent rear suspension, LED lights, double-layer soundproof glass, electric folding rearview mirrors with integrated heating, cruise control and wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto. Higher versions add a panoramic glass ceiling, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless phone charging, ADAS, 540-degree camera and 6 airbags. The SHS-H version can travel more than 1,000 km each time it is filled with fuel and the battery is charged; The BEV version has a range of 461 km per full charge (NEDC standard). The interior uses materials that are anti-scratch, antibacterial, anti-stain, and reduces odor retention - aiming to better serve customers with pets.
Jaecoo J5 is among the car models expected to be produced at the Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam factory when the factory comes into operation. Regarding warranty, the J5 Premium and SHS-H versions have a 10-year or 1 million km engine warranty (whichever comes first); The high-voltage battery on the BEV version has a warranty of 8 years or 200,000 km. When customers deposit 10 million VND, they will receive 0% interest support for the first 12 months and one year of physical insurance for all versions; The BEV Flagship version alone comes with a charger and T-Box application, total value up to 20 million VND. The program applies until August 31, 2026 or for the first 555 customers nationwide, vehicles are prioritized for delivery from August to the end of October 2026.
The official selling price is expected to be announced in August 2026. According to the company, if the official price is higher than the announced price when opening a deposit, participating customers will receive a refund equivalent to 5 times the deposit value.
